Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19122-6096 APPLYING TO TEMPLE UNIVERSITY You can apply to Temple using the Common Application or Temple’s application (nextstop.temple.edu/apply). The application fee is $55. Online applications are processed more quickly, but if you choose to use this paper application, be sure to carefully read the information on page 2. APPLICATION DEADLINES · Temple accepts students based on Rolling Admissions. · Fall semester: June 1; Feb. 1 for Nursing (Nursing is a four-year program, even for transfer students) • and Health Information Management · Spring semester: Nov. 1 REMINDERS Enclose a check or money order for $55 made payable to Temple University; we cannot accept cash. Submit only official transcripts, which are those mailed directly to the Admissions Office from the records office at a school, college or agency. Sign and date your application. DO NOT COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION IF… · you previously attended Temple as a degree candidate (matriculated student). Instead, complete a Request to • Re-enroll form, available online at admissions.temple.edu/re-enroll. · you have already earned a bachelor’s degree and wish to take courses as a nonmatriculated student or obtain • certification from one of our schools or colleges. TRANSFER APPLICANTS You are a transfer applicant if you have attempted 15 or more credits at a regionally accredited college or university after graduating from high school or earning a GED diploma. You must authorize all high schools and colleges you attended to send official copies of your transcripts to the Admissions Office. Return your completed application and fee directly to the Admissions Office. DECISION PROCESS Once we have received all the required documentation— a signed application, the $55 fee, high school and college transcripts, and SAT/ACT/GED/TOEFL/PTE scores (if applicable)—we can make an admission decision. We may initially review a completed application and request additional information before making a final decision. Students are considered on a Rolling Admissions basis; decisions begin in October for spring applications and in January for fall applications. Applicants are notified within four to six weeks of submitting a completed application, although we hold some applications for a second review; decisions about these applications will be made after the six-week time frame. Decisions are made by professional admissions staff members, who take into consideration college and high school (if applicable) grades, your essay, and other relevant information.
