It is with our utmost gratitude that we thank you for your support of our program, our teams, and most importantly
our student-athletes. Thanks to YOU, our proud alumni, loyal fans, and devoted supporters, Cougar Pride set another
all-time fundraising record for Houston Athletics. With $4.5 million raised and over 3,100 annual fund members, we
have never been closer to fully funding the cost of our student-athlete scholarships! The support you provide for our
University and our student-athletes is invaluable!
The goals and expectations for our department have never been higher. Our scholarship support has reached record
highs, but we must still push to meet the rising costs of scholarships. With this in mind, Cougar Pride warmly invites
YOU, our alumni, fans, former student-athletes, coaches, faculty & staff, and friends of the University of Houston to

WHAT IS COUGAR PRIDE?
Cougar Pride is the fundraising arm of Houston Athletics. Its mission is to provide financial support for
student-athlete scholarships and priority needs of the Athletic Department. Cougar Pride members
consist of alumni, fans, former student-athletes, coaches and friends that work to ensure student-
athletes have a first-class education with a chance to excel in the classroom and in competition. Your
individual or corporate membership in Cougar Pride will help provide scholarships for nearly 400
student-athletes across all 17 intercollegiate sport programs.

WE HAVE A DREAM!
Each year, Cougar Pride’s ultimate goal is to fully fund the cost of attendance for our student-athletes. To fully offset
the cost of educating our nearly 400 student-athletes during the fall and spring semesters, Cougar Pride must raise
over $5 million dollars. Summer school expenses add an additional $1 million to this annual total.
Cougar Pride is extremely close to fully funding our student-athlete’s scholarships. With your help, we can get there!
We are proud to introduce the Drive for FIVE Campaign: 5,000 donors giving $5 million in 2015.

In addition to funding the cost of each student-athlete
scholarship, Houston Athletics must also budget for a

competitive nationally, we must continue to fund the

110% CHALLENGE
Houston student-athletes give 110% every day in the classroom, at practice and during competition. The 110% Club
serves as a call to our loyal supporters to give the same 110% effort. To accept the challenge, Cougar Pride members
are asked to give 10% more than the previous year (2014 Giving + 10%).

The CPYA offers recent graduates within the last five academic years (2010) an opportunity to receive Cougar Pride benefits, network
with established alumni, and most importantly, make a change. Members have the chance to obtain Cougar Pride points, receive Cougar
Pride benefits for all donor levels at a reduced rate and sit in specific Young Alumni sections at TDECU Stadium. CPYA members also
receive a special gift, an invitation to an exclusive CPYA only event and many other benefits.

level. Making a donation to a particular sport program ensures your gift is used to cover needs beyond the program’s
operating budget. Sport specific donations do not count towards your Cougar Pride giving level, but do accrue priority
