Your guide to our
2021 Annual Appeal.
Heart of Gold Annual Appeal 2021
The benefits of having street collections is to raise the profile of St John in the community. It is also a great way to
connect with our Operations Staff and Youth.
It is also a good idea to have a few brochures on hand of the other services within St John i.e. Health Shuttle,
First Aid training, Youth etc.
Street collection guidelines.

We’re recruiting!
The St John Heart of Gold Annual Appeal week runs from 5 – 11 April and this year we’re collecting
donations to purchase new ambulances and lifesaving equipment.
Every year our St John people contribute their time and energy to become a big part of the success of our
fundraising efforts.
Street collections are planned across the week, with sites in Auckland’s CBD, including Queen Street and
Takutai Square (Britomart) along with shopping malls and supermarkets. Key locations include:
> Thursday 2 April 2020 – Takutai Square
> Saturday 4 April 2020 – Westfield St Lukes
> Saturday 4 April 2020 – New World Stonefields
> Sunday 5 April 2020 – Westfield St Lukes
We need at least two volunteers for each shift. If you can help us out, please let us know as soon as
possible by Friday 20 March.

Arranging payment

There are various ways to transfer your donations to St John. You can send a cheque in the mail to the addresses
below or you can contact your local St John Fundraising Team for their bank account details for any electronic
transfers.
ASB is required to adequately identify anyone making cash deposits through its branch network. Please ensure
you take 2 forms of ID with you when depositing cash.
ASB is no longer supplying charity deposit bags so get in early to get your standard deposit bags from your local
ASB branch. Please keep a record of the banking bag numbers for reference.
