FROM THE
DUGOUT
WAYNE JEROME
Good afternoon and a warm welcome to you all for today’s Toolstation Western League First Division
fixture. As always, I extend the warm welcome to everyone from Oldland Abbotonians here to Sherborne
Town.

Last weekend we narrowly lost 2-1 to Premier Division outfit Clevedon in the FA Cup with our goal coming from
Ash Clarke after a well-worked corner from Anth Herrin.

It’s funny to think I’m not disappointed to be out of the cup. We made the club a few bob and as we showed
on the day we can compete with these big boys and on another day we could have been a couple of goals up
at half-time before we eventually took the lead. But our run ended with an 86 mins winner by Clevedon. Good
luck to them in the next round as they travel to Winchester City on a Tuesday evening.

Today we go on the hunt for our first much-needed league points after two successive 2-0 defeats against
Portishead and Radstock.
We go into the game with a full squad with Haydn Hodges and Josh Williams being declared fit after receiving
treatment Wednesday night from Nikki (physio).

We hope you enjoy today’s game and we can reward your support with all three points.

Wayne
