Last Thursday afternoon, strict visitor MOTOR restrictions were put in place as patients had to be isolated, the UL Hospitals Group announced. LOAN A spokesperson later confirmed that patients were forced to be isolated due to the CPE superbug, which was detected 21 times 7.5%* since June. CPE has been directly associated with three deaths at UHL since it was first detected in UHL in 2009. UHL was the first hospital in the country to detect the superbug.
