13 My Nedbank Bursary experience By Keneliwe Modiba I have been a Nedbank bursary holder for the past three years while completing my undergraduate degree. I was thrilled to have received a full Nedbank bursary during my first year. Being under Nedbank’s care has been the greatest pleasure, as they always paid for my tuition, accommodation, meals and books with unbelievable efficacy. I never felt any of the pressure that most bursary students have felt. When you’re part of their bursary programme, Nedbank’s only request is quite simple – perform to the best of your abilities. Being a Nedbank bursary holder has taught me invaluable lessons about becoming independent and also excelling at what I do. The Roadshows that Nedbank offers to the bursary holders were presented in an insightful manner and gave us a clear view of the different career paths that are available to us. My experience with Nedbank has been nothing short of terrific and I sincerely hope to continue a fruitful relationship with them.
