Getting Started with Vitality How does Vitality work? As a Vitality member, you earn Vitality Points™ for completing healthy activities in categories such as Prevention, Physical Activity and Online Education. Your Vitality Points determine your Vitality Status®, and your Vitality Status determines your rewards. For example, you need to earn Silver Status in 2021 to unlock your 2021 savings. The Vitality Status you reach in 2021 determines the amount of savings that carries over to 2022. If your spouse or domestic partner is enrolled in your McKesson medical plan and participates in Vitality, you each need to earn at least 1,000 Vitality Points and jointly reach Silver Status or higher to unlock and carry over your savings to 2022. You can jointly reach Silver Status by earning a combined 3,500 Vitality Points. It doesn’t matter who earns the additional 1,500 Vitality Points to reach the combined 3,500, but we recommend you split the difference and Vitality Basics encourage each other on to better health.
