Choreographers

Sukanya Chand is a performer, choreographer and an instructor, who enjoys
collaborating with various artists to create unique innovative pieces.
Performances, master classes, workshops are provided through her dance
company ‘Natya Nirvana’. A Special Thanks to the students of MUCAI Academy in
Worthington, OH for their participation.

Cassia Cramer, a Columbus, Ohio native, is a performing artist, Dance instructor,
studio owner, choreographer, entrepreneur, and the director of a 501(c)3 dance
company. Ms. Cramer attended Point Park University where she exclusively
studied the performing arts. Ms. Cramer also holds a Master’s in Business
Administration with a concentration in Finance from Strayer University.

Amy Jones Gibbons performed with the Dayton Contemporary Dance
Company from 2008-2016. During the 2014-2015 season Amy also served as
joint director of DCDC2. Amy is currently the DCDC Artist in Residence for
the Theatre, Dance, and Performance Technology Program at The University of
Dayton and the Artistic Director of the UD Dance Ensemble. Amy serves as the
Artistic Director of Onyx.

Ailis Hayden and Miah Trout study dance at Factory Street Studio in Athens. Ailis
is a junior at Athens High School; she attended the Ohio University Summer
Dance Institute with New York-based David Dorfman Dance in 2019. Miah is a
junior at Alexander Local Schools and a Teaching Assistant at Factory Street
Studio.

Madi Jackson is on staff at Beck Center for the Arts. She has taught many dance
styles over the past 28 years to ages 3- adult and has performed and
choreographed with companies throughout the nation, Mexico, and Canada. Her
works have been adjudicated and performed in several dance festivals
throughout the country.

Lori Lindsey developed a love for dance at an early age. Experienced in various
genres, she is known for her natural ability to engage audiences by defining
emotions, characters and artistic visions through dance. As a teacher and student,
she believes it is imperative to always challenge ourselves to explore a deeper
connection of the body and mind with movement.

Joshua Manculich, In 2015, was nominated for a Princess Grace Choreography
Fellowship. Other choreographic adventures include: Ballet Austin II, Dancing in
the Parks, Dayton Contemporary II, Grand Valley State University, Houston
Contemporary Dance Company, Point Park University, Dance Chicago, and Santa
Barbara Dance Theater. Josh is an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State
University.

Marc- Joelitza Montgomery is a senior at Bard High School Early College
Cleveland. She describes becoming a member of Bard Dance Company as one of
the best decisions she could have made. She enjoys coming up with her own
choreography and putting together dance films. Along with her love for dance,
Marc-Joelitza has also been recognized as a writer, athlete and honor student at
Bard.

Joe Moriarty, Owner of ML Dance Academy Joseph toured with Riverdance for
over thirteen years as a Principal dancer. His highlights include starring on
Broadway, performing in the People’s Hall of China and the Moscow Kremlin State
Palace. Joseph is recognized by An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha as a T.C.R.G.
certified Irish Dance instructor.

Yulia Lukyanova Moriarty was trained and educated in Russia as a professional
dancer, choreographer and instructor. Yulia has experience choreographing in
many dance styles. Her works have been recognized at regional, national, and
international competitions, including the YAGP Finals in New York City and the
Canadian Grand Prix WBAC Finals in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Regina Pietraroia is the founder of Dance Arts by Regina, offering professional
dance instruction in North Royalton and Cleveland. She trained at Butler
University, and later joined Ohio Dance Theatre where she performed a variety of
classical and contemporary ballets. She continues to perform and teach as a guest
artist throughout the country.

Gabrielle Stefura holds a B.F.A. in Dance Education and a master’s degree in
Educational Administration, both from The Ohio State University. She is a board
member of OhioDance, a partner of Columbus Dance Alliance and serves on the
education committee at BalletMet. Gabrielle has written model curriculum for the
Ohio Department of Education.

Schools and Programs

Bard Dance Company is an ensemble based group that encourages students to
cultivate original works that are inspired by their surroundings and express these
discoveries in new and dynamic ways. Through technique, intense rehearsals,
composition work, performance, and production experience, dance students are
prepared to understand and practice the art of choreography and performance.

Beck Center for the Arts is more than a non-profit organization that combines
professional theater with arts education in Northeast Ohio. We create art
experiences for all ages and abilities as individual as the people we serve.

Dance E.L.I.T.E. Performance Academy is a Columbus based studio serving
dancers ages 3 to adult. D.E.P.A.’s mission is to evolve the lives of people in the
community into total excellence. through the art and discipline of dance. Dance
E.L.I.T.E. is celebrating 5 years of providing quality dance instructions to student in
nurturing and family-oriented environment.

DX Dance Company is a pre-professional dance company based in Dublin, Ohio at
the Dance Extension. The company was founded on the intent to give young
students the opportunity to bridge the gap between recreational and professional
dancing. The objective of the company is to expose company members to a
variety of choreographers. Intense rehearsals culminate in a performance
demonstrating a full range of dance styles and choreography

Factory Street is a non-profit dance studio in Southeast Ohio that emphasizes
modern dance and the creative process. A recipient of multiple Ohio Arts Council
Grants, Factory Street Studio offers a curriculum that emphasizes non-
competitive dance technique, self-esteem, personal growth and cooperative
spirit.

Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center, is a public magnet alternative school
for students interested in an intensive academic and arts curriculum. This
curriculum brings the study of arts and academics together through innovative
activities. It is a school in the Columbus City Schools system.
The school opened in 1976 on the site of Fort Hayes, a military base undergoing
closure.

The ML Dance Academy, located in Reynoldsburg, is owned and operated by
former professional dancers, Joe and Yulia Moriarty. Their mission is to educate
todays youth in the importance of art and the culture of dance and creative
aspect involved with choreography. They instill a positive mindset in all students
and also the fundamentals of dance.

Natya Nirvana’s mission is to enrich the Central Ohio community through arts
education, encouraging multicultural awareness and cultivating local talent.

dance/community centers, festivals and concerts, events to promote India's music

NEW DANCE ARTISTS is a pre-professional company dedicated to providing
opportunities for young dancers to learn, grow, and create in an inspiring
environment. New Dance Artists develops young artists’ talents and connects
them to community through performances at festivals, schools, retirement
homes, and libraries through engaging pieces such as “A Swingin’ Mood” and
story ballets including “Thumbelina” and “Alice in Wonderland.”

The ONYX Contemporary Dance Company was founded in May of 2019. ONYX is
dedicated to providing pre-professional students with an opportunity to further
their training in the technical and performance aspects of dance. OCDC’s goal is to
instill an appreciation for the art of dance in a safe learning environment while
providing young aspiring dancers the tools to enhance discipline, character, and
work ethic.

Seven Dance Academy, founded in 2021 by Ms. Cramer, provides classical dance
training to aspiring dancers ages 2-adult. Seven Dance Academy students are
offered a ballet based curriculum with strong jazz, modern, contemporary and tap
training.
