Transforming lives and communities through strategic outreach and engaged scholarship serves as one of the three priorities in Texas Tech’s strategic plan, A Foundation for the Next Century – A Pathway to 2025. To support employee outreach and engagement activities that connect the resources of Texas Tech University with those of the community, full-time staff may use up to 16 hours of outreach and engagement service time per fiscal year, and part-time staff are eligible to use up to 8 hours per fiscal year. To have your time volunteering in the Lubbock community considered as time worked through this program, outreach and engagement hours must be pre-approved by the employee’s supervisor through the Outreach and Engagement Application at https://apps.hr.ttu.edu/OEA/.
