Medication & 24/7 Care • All medical needs must be included on Consent Form, including travel sickness pills for both journeys • State dosage and timing clearly please • All school-based medication will be brought with us • All additional medication must be named/labelled in resealable bag • The 24/7 rule - what else may we need to know? • Consent Form to be completed by this Friday 24th May
Room Allocation • Children and staff rooms are located together and will be clearly labelled • Children will choose a ‘bunk mate’ and room lists will organised from these • Children are not allowed in each other’s rooms
Pocket Money • Tuck and souvenirs • Pocket Money will be handed to a member of staff • A maximum of £10 in coins • Labelled in a purse/wallet, not envelopes please
Luggage & Belongings • All items should be named and packed in one kit bag and one item of hand luggage (for coach) • No clothes or items of value, other school groups, not a fashion show... • Bin bags! Dirty/wet clothes • No electronic devices or phones • Staff will take plenty of photos but children could bring a named disposable camera if they wish • No aerosol items, roll-on deodorant only... • Keep bags and sleeping bags separate please • Pillows not provided by centre • Need 2 towels • Need 2 pairs of trainers (as one pair likely to get wet)
Behaviour • Please note PGL code of conduct • Same high expectations of behaviour on trip as in school • Inappropriate behaviour may result in time-out from activities, change in sleeping arrangements/bedtimes or, in very extreme cases, collection from the centre.
Communication • The School will be informed of our arrival • Twitter will be updated regularly through the week with information and photos • Twitter will be used to update regarding return journey as school closed • In an emergency, phone the school or email head@wingrave.school • Please avoid other communication...
Twitter • The school Twitter feed is now secure and can only be viewed by verified parents • Able to share more photos and content • Registration process and form • Complete form and ‘request to follow’ by Friday 7th June • If you already follow us you do not need to re-register
Monday 17th June • Arrive at school normal time, non-uniform, deliver luggage to Hall fire exit, handover medicines & pocket money • Packed Lunch to be eaten early before departure • Coach departs 12pm • Toilet stop at Leicester Forest Service • Arrive approx. 3.30pm • Email will confirm arrival. Friday 21st June - Return Journey • Depart Caythorpe Court approx. 1.30pm • Toilet stop at Leicester Forest Service • Arrive back approx. 4.30pm • School will be notified of any major delays and will text, Twitter Updates.
