Specific Objectives • In the context of the Algarve as a safe destination, creating greater awareness of most prevalent crime targeted at tourists and public safety issues • Fostering greater collaboration with the tourism industry concerning their role in promoting greater crime prevention and public safety awareness • Identifying and providing advice concerning emerging crimes which may affect tourists on holiday in Portugal • Creating greater awareness of public safety issues and provide appropriate advice – such as rural fires, safety at beaches etc • Expanding our reach to engage tourists using all available media
