Condensation
When an induction cooktop is selected, condensation may occur.
Steam is vapourised water, and is generally invisible. At standard
temperature and pressure, pure steam occupies about 1600 times the
volume of an equal mass of liquid water. Steam most often refers to the
white mist which forms above boiling water as the hot vapour mixes with
the cooler environment. This mist consists of tiny droplets of liquid water
and when it comes into contact with a cold or cooler environment, water
droplets form on the surface. This water, known as condensation, then
drips back on to the cooking surface.
With an induction cooktop, there is no residual heat on the cooking surface.
The heat source is at the base of the pot or pan. When steam is present,
vapour is formed and is clearly visible. When water is boiled on a gas
burner, heat rises up on the sides of the pot or pan, which prevents vapour
from forming, and heats the rangehood filters relatively quickly.

Westmore
Westmore rangehoods are designed for use over induction cooktops, and for installation
heights of 750mm-800mm.
Westmore rangehoods come in the following sizes:
WES 60 L1 - 600mm W x 330mm D
WES 80 L2 - 800mm W x 330mm D
WES 90 L2 - 900mm W x 330mm D
WES 100 L2 - 1000mm W x 330mm D
WES 120 L2 - 1200mm W x 330mm D
Qasair recommend two motors wherever possible over induction cooktops, providing
a maximum air movement of 1800 cubic metres of air per hour when operated on high
speed.
Qasair Westmore rangehoods are fitted with LED lights and mesh air filters which can be
cleaned in a dishwasher. It is important to use mesh filters over an induction cooktop, to
prevent condensation from occurring.
Westmore rangehoods are fitted with Megasorber sound-absorbing panels, to further
reduce the noise level.
