Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! The faculty and staff at St. Timothy are very excited about the upcoming school year and working hard to prepare for the students’ return. We are looking forward to working with you so that every child will know what it is to be a happy, healthy child of God. We are excited to watch your children grow and progress. We utilize FACTS as the main form of communication between the school and families, Parents should check FACTS regularly for information, forms, homework, report cards, newsletters, important dates, etc. throughout the school year. If you have any difficulties logging in, please contact Kim Melillo kmelillo@cdeducation.org The following back to school forms are available through FACTS and must be completed and acknowledged before the first day of school: Technology Acceptable Use Policy/Permission Photography Release Profile Update Medical/Emergency Contact Forms- this information MUST be filled out on FACTS for each child before the first day of school. To update their profile information, click update profile on your parent profile, then click on update family profiles and you will be able to access each child’s information. (There may be other forms included in the packet that are required to be returned with a signature to the office.) Changes to note: Homework Club and Tiger Club: Enrollment numbers will be limited for the 2021-2022 school year Start Time: 7:45 a.m. Volunteer Requirements: 30 hours or $300 (prorated) per family Lunch Prices: Lunch will be $3.25 for students and $3.70 for adults. Back to School Fee Information *subject to change per year All fees are due by the first day of school. Technology Fee - $55 Home and School Fee Activity Fee- $50 STREAM- $30. TWO PAYMENT OPTIONS: 1. All fees may be paid at the online via credit card at https://sttimhomeandschool.square.site/ 2. Please put cash or check into an envelope with your family name on the front. Envelopes should be turned into the school office no later than the first day of school. Checks should made payable to: St. Timothy School.
Tiger Club Please only enroll in Tiger Club if you absolutely have no other alternative. Full-Time Monthly: 4-5 Days per week: $160 per child per month Part-Time Monthly: 2-3 Days per week: $130 per child per month Drop-in Rate: $20 per day Late Pick-up Fee: $1 per minute after 6:00 Payments can be made weekly, monthly, or yearly. Weekly payments must be received by no later than the Thursday of the following week. Monthly payments must be received by the end of the first week of the following month. Late fees will be $10 per week or $30 per month (if past due date). There is no registration fee Payments can be made one of three ways: 1. Personal check at the school. Please send payment into the office (1070 Thomas Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43220) labeled ‘St. Timothy Tiger Club’. 2. Bank check- please send the payment into the school office (1070 Thomas Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43220) labeled ‘St. Timothy Tiger Club’. 3. FACTS- parents can have the Tiger Club payment be added into their monthly FACTS tuition statements for St. Timothy School. Enrollment of special needs children including consultation with Special education staff- ALL children are welcome to attend Tiger Club. All children must be able to participate as a member of a group. If your child requires one on one attention, the Tiger Club is not a good option for childcare. The Tiger Club will make every reasonable effort to service a child with a disability regardless of the disability. The Tiger Club coordinator will work closely with the St. Timothy School Intervention Specialist to accommodate and work with students with special needs. Maintenance of staff/child ratios and supervision: Staff ratios shall be at least one staff member caring for eighteen school children who are five years old but no more than eleven years old. When one to eighteen children are in attendance, one staff member or responsible individual who is at least eighteen years old shall be in attendance and, at a minimum, at least one other responsible individual shall be accessible in the building in which the program is located.

Homework Club Parents, St. Timothy School offers an after school homework club held in our school library. You may pay fees all at once at the beginning of the year or you can pay half the fee by September 1 st and the second half on January 10th. Checks should be made payable to St. Timothy School and can be sent into the school office. Parents who are requesting to use the HW Club on a month to month basis must contact the principal. Students must be picked up no later than 4:00 pm. If payments are not made on time or if your child(ren) is not picked up by 4:00 pm, you will be asked to make other arrangements for after school care. Volunteer Hours *subject to change per year REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO ANY SERVICE- 1. All volunteers must attend a session of “Protecting God’s Children”, a course in child abuse prevention, and submit proof of such to the principal. a. To register for a “Protecting God’s Children” session you must go online at www.virtus.org. The registration password is “Trust”. 2. All volunteers must be fingerprinted. FastFingerprints, next to Coaches on Bethel Road, is able to do BCI fingerprints for $40.00. Please inform them that you are volunteering at St. Timothy School and the results should be sent directly to the Columbus Diocese office. GENERAL SERVICE: 1. Hour requirement: 30 Hours per family per school year OR 2. $300 annual fee (prorated) due by the end of the school year (unless prior arrangements are made by the Principal.) 3. Track your own hours. Submit your volunteer activities and hours when completed. 4. You can sign up for additional hours on Sign Up Genius throughout the year. 5. Many opportunities will be made available through email, Facebook and classroom notifications as well. CAFETERIA SERVICE: The following list of rules and responsibilities pertain to cafeteria duty at St. Timothy: 1. A member of each family is expected to spend one day working in the cafeteria each month. The hours are approximately 11:10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. If you are able to help and have not been contacted by the first day of school, please contact the school office. 2. You are expected to find your own replacement if you are unable to work on your appointed day. 3. If you are unable to work, and if you are unable to find a replacement, a fee of $10.00 per month is expected in order to pay another person to work for you. Make checks payable to St. Timothy Cafeteria. 4. The Cafeteria manager will contact you sometime in August to set up your monthly day. 5. This is a separate service requirement and does not count towards the 30-hour family requirement. ATHLETICS: 1. One shift of service in either the Concession Stand or Admission Gate per athlete is required for each season of participation in sports.
Uniform Standards Uniform components may be purchased at various uniform shops in Columbus as well as off the rack at department and discount stores, mail-order catalogs and online retailers such as Land’s End. Subject to approval of the principal. Chino Slacks: TAN/KHAKI color woven fabric Corduroy Slacks: TAN/KHAKI color. NO rivets or patch-pockets allowed. Corduroy slacks must be purchased from stores that promote and sell corduroy slacks classified as “Uniform.” These acceptable stores include, but are not limited to: Land’s End, JC Penny, Target, Sears, School Days Uniform and Educational Apparel Shorts: TAN/KHAKI color walking style, mid-thigh length, no more than 2” above the knee. MAY ONLY BE WORN APRIL 1-OCTOBER 31 Sweatshirts: Plain gray/burgundy crew neck or quarter zip collars made from fleece, jersey, sweatshirt or quick dry material with or without a St. Tim’s logo. Sweater: Plain gray or burgundy, pullovers with crew neck or v-neck or cardigan style. Socks: May be white or black and may contain a small logo. Socks may be of any length BUT must be worn and visible. Belts: Plain black, brown or plaid, MUST be worn by students in grades 5-8 with shorts or slacks containing belt loops. Shoes: Mary Jane’s, Penny Loafers or Oxford styles. NO open-toe or open-heeled shoes (clogs, sandals or mules) are permitted. Shoes may not have a sole height of over 1 ½”. Tennis shoes are acceptable. Shoes must have a non-marking/scuffing sole. Shoes that contain wheels and/or roller blades, including but not limited to Heelys, are NOT permitted. Slippers and/or moccasin type shoes are NOT permitted. Boots of ANY kind are NOT permitted, including winter and rain boots. Hair: Hair must be of student’s natural color and only traditional styles are permitted. BOYS: Grades K-8 Tops: Burgundy knit long or short sleeve, golf style with collar, placket front. Shirts MUST BE TUCKED IN with waist band visible and Only WHITE t-shirts are permitted to be worn under the uniform shirt. Shorts: Khaki golf-style shorts with flat pockets are also permitted in addition to the type mentioned above Boys’ Hair: Boys’ hair must be off of the ear, unable to touch one’s shirt collar in any manner, above the eyebrows and unable to extend below the eyebrows, and at least 1/8 inch in length. Boys who are deemed to be in violation of the dress code will be instructed to receive a hair-cut. Earrings: NOT to be worn in school. Fingernail Polish: Boys are not permitted to wear fingernail polish to school.
GIRLS: Grades K-8 Jumper: Burgundy, gray, and white plaid at-waist or drop-waist, no more than 2” above the knee Tops: White with round collar, turtlenecks, golf style polo with collar, Oxford (button down collar), long or short sleeve to be worn with jumper, shorts, slacks. NO trim, ruffles or puffed sleeves. MUST BE TUCKED IN with waist band visible and Only WHITE t-shirts are permitted to be worn under the uniform shirt. Skirts/Skorts: Land’s End TAN/KHAKI or BURGUNDY PLAID (Jumper Pattern) worn at natural waistline and no more than 2” above the knee. Tights: Solid colors only (White, Black, Gray or Burgundy). Leggings: Solid colors only (White, Black, Gray or Burgundy). Leggings for K-5 th grades can be worn all year; leggings for 6-8th grade students are to be worn from November 1-March 31st. Leggings are allowed with jumpers or skirts only. Earrings: Single pair, should be kept to small size and to a minimum for health and safety reasons. Purses/Bags: Students are prohibited from carrying purses and any other types of bags during school hours unless specific arrangements have been made through the principal. Make-up: Girls in grades K-5 are prohibited from wearing make-up. Girls in grades 6-8 are prohibited from wearing excessive make-up to school and school-related functions. Hair Accessories: Hair accessories must be respectful and subtle. Subject to approval of school personnel. Bracelets: The bracelets must be respectful and subtle with a maximum of two bracelets. Subject to approval of school personnel. PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM: BOYS and GIRLS Grades K-8 Physical Education uniform may be worn all day on days of scheduled PE class. Shorts: Burgundy knit or mesh worn at natural waistline and no more than 2” above the knee Shirts: Plain Gray T-shirt with or without St. Timothy logo (burgundy logos only) Sweatpants: Sweatpant material only in plain, solid gray, burgundy or black. They must be worn at the natural waistline and not form-fitting. Sweatshirts: Plain Gray or Burgundy crew neck with or without a St. Tim’s logo. Hooded sweatshirts are permitted on gym days only. DRESS DOWN DAY RULES Clothing must be clean and in good condition. Closed toe shoes must be worn, in good condition, laces must be tied; no sandals. Hats may not be worn in building. Shorts must be mid-thigh. Offensive pictures, design, logos and/or words on clothing are not permitted. Boots are NOT permitted. Leggings are not to be worn. Shirts must contain sleeves (no tank-tops or spaghetti straps) All clothing is subject to approval by school personnel NOTE: Dress-down passes may be used only on dress-down days as designated by the principal. Dress down passes and individual days can purchased through the Home and School Associate. Proceeds benefit the Tuition Assistance program. This program is subject to change.

Transportation Request for Charter/Non-Public Schools Charter/Non-public school students who reside within the boundaries of the Columbus City Schools District will request transportation to school by completing an online Transportation Request. Requests are made using our Infinite Campus Online Registration. Register online visit ‘Transportation’ at: w w w. c c s o h . u s / t r a n s p o r t a t i o n . a s p x The slides will walk you through the online registration process. Each slide will prompt you for the information needed in order to proceed to the next step. Make sure to review each screens instructions before continuing.
