Dear Friends, Welcome to Rainier Christian Schools’ 22nd Annual Auction! On behalf of our entire learning community, I am thrilled for your participation with our signature fundraiser. Rainier Christian Schools’ mission is “Educating and developing the whole person for the glory of God.” Marking our 55th year of operation, RCS is blessed by God and His people to continue that unique mission. Tonight’s lavish giving directly supports our aim to honor the Lord and make a positive impact on students’ lives and learning. As you enjoy fellowship with friends, a delicious meal, and the electricity of our silent and live auctions, remember that your contributions touch the future. Collectively, we spark fruitful change for Christian education and advance God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for attending tonight. I also want to thank our Auction Coordinator, Sarah Rickel, for spearheading a year-round campaign to make tonight’s auction possible. Many individuals helped to make our Rainier Christian Schools’ 22nd annual auction a spectacular success. We greatly appreciate all the parents, grandparents, staff, students, and friends of RCS who gave freely of their time and energy. A special thank you to: Vicki Shultz, this event would not be nearly as successful without her consistent help procuring donations. Sigrid Jones, for creating the auction presentation and catalog . Julie Franzen for creating the auction display sheets. April Vander Pol for helping put together the auction packages. Leslie Massey for decorating the beautiful tables! Renee Bruce, Carleigh Stutzman, Jamie Cochran for executing the class art projects. Thank you to all of the people who are volunteering tonight to make this evening run smoothly and successfully. And lastly, thank you to all our teachers for taking time to coordinate amazing class baskets and projects. For all of you who volunteered and donated, but are not mentioned above, please know that you all play a special part in helping Rainier Christian Schools to Thrive! 1. Values listed for bid items are estimates set by the donor and are not
warranted for tax purposes.
2. All sales are final. Items are sold “as is.”
3. The Auction Committee of Rainier Christian Schools’ has attempted to
catalog and describe items correctly. Rainier Christian Schools’ neither
warrants nor represents and shall in no event be responsible for the
correctness of description, authenticity, authorship, provenance or condition
of property. No statements contained in the catalog or made orally at the
sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty, representation or
assumption of liability.
4. There are no exchanges or refunds on items except where specifically noted.
5. Rainier Christian Schools’ reserves the right to withdraw any item from sale
prior to the call for bids.
6. Bidding on an item constitutes an agreement to purchase.
7. Bidders must step back after bidding to allow others to bid. Table closers will
come around and circle the winning bid number and amount once each
section closes.
8. All items must be removed from the premises following the end of the LIVE
Auction. Special arrangements may be made for large, heavy items that
evening. Otherwise, items purchased at the auction, but not claimed, will
become the property of Rainier Christian Schools’.
9. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer during the Live Auction
shall be the purchaser. This constitutes a legal contract to buy.
10. The Auctioneer will resolve any disputes at the time of table closing. Please
notify the Table Closer if there is a dispute, and a “bid-off” will be conducted
for the item.

The Auction Committee is offering a raffle for the Grand Prize of one
Live Auction item of the winner’s choice OR $1000 of Tuition
Credit!!! Only 50 tickets will be sold. The cost for a “Golden Ticket” is
$75.

Purchase up to two raffle tickets for a chance to win a CASH
JACKPOT BID CARD, with the monetary winnings pre-loaded on it.
The winner will receive 50% of the amount paid into the game, up to
$1,000, to bid with on 4/27/19 at our semi-formal dinner auction.
Just raise your bid card and go on a spending spree! The cost for a
“Cash Jackpot” ticket is $25.

AT 7:00 PM1. Each table will have a “Dessert Dash Bidders Card.”
Each person at the table can decide how much they want
to contribute. On the bidder’s card, enter your bidder
number and your bid amount. If you place your bidder
number on the card, your dessert dash bid will be added
to your receipt at the end of the night.
Once everyone has put their bid on the card, total the
amount and add it in the total box. There will be a runner
coming around to each table to collect the cards before
dinner is over.
2. Pick one person from your group to be the “Dessert
Dasher”
3. The auctioneer will announce when it is time to start the
dessert dash and have each table captain proceed to the
common area. The table with the highest bid amount will
be called to start and then call the next highest in
approximately 5 seconds until all the tables have been
called. Once their table number is called, RUN (the more
animated, the better time the rest of us have watching!)
to the dessert table to pick the dessert of their choice.
Then carefully bring the dessert back to share!
