NURSERY AND RECEPTION VISITED CRAM Last week Nursery and Reception went on their school trip to CRAM in El Prat. They found out lots of interesting facts about sharks and turtles and the threats they face. They learnt about how CRAM helps sea animals and got to see some of the turtles and birds who were at the centre being looked after. They also had time to visit the beach to play and have a picnic lunch. It was a great day! SECONDARY Dear Parents, are being finalised as I write this. E-ATHLETES GRADUATION It is with great pride and excitement that in this final week of school we can say that the first two e-Athletes have graduated from BCG! Due to COVID we could not celebrate as we would have liked, but Mr Mower and Mr Pilcher were in attendance to recognise their achievements. Natalia Fehr and Stavros Hadjivarnava have been ever present in the program de- signed for student athletes. What they have achieved in the last two years has been of huge significance and they have grand plans for the future. Natalia will continue the journey to professional tennis here in Barcelona whilst studying for a BA at The EU Business School. Stavros on the other hand will travel back to Cyprus to complete his national service in the army before ad- vancing to a tennis scholarship in the US. We are very proud of what our student ath- letes have achieved this year and particu- larly for Stavros and Natalia. Well done and we look forward to following your journey in the future! Mr Pilcher

BCG POETRY WALL This Monday 21st June, BCG celebrated its first Art Festival organised by Year 11 students. The Language Department has collaborated by creating the workshop “BCG Poetry Wall” with the aim of creating a scenario to bring poetry closer to our students. To do this, secondary students from all stages have selected verses from different poets in Catalan, French, English and Spanish arguing which ones were the best to paint them on the mural designed by Year 9 students Ariadna, Angelina, Anna and Inés. Here are some photos of the process of this workshop: “La poesía es una arma cargada de futuro” Gabriel Celaya Languages Department
