In house Mexicano and MX function Menu Options Mexicano and MX love to host parties and events for all occasions! All we require is a $500 deposit to lock in your event, and a minimum spend to occur. To book out Mexicano for an entire seating is $3500. MX is $2500. Both of which can be made up by food, drink and take- away canned cocktails Seating times Mexicano Dinner Tuesday to Sunday is 5-7.30pm and 7.45pm-close Lunch is Friday, Tres Leches Saturday Sunday with seatings Cake $16 12-2pm and 2.30-4.30pm (note we are licensed till midnight Friday, Saturday and 10pm Sunday through Thursday) Seating times Mx Dinner Monday to Sunday is 5-6.30pm and 7pm-close Lunch is Monday to Sunday with seatings 12pm-1.30pm and 1.45pm to 3.15pm (note we are licensed till midnight Friday, Saturday and 10pm Sunday through Thursday) Please see both locations menus here https://www.mexicano.com.au/
the t’s anD C’s 1. BOOKINGS & DEPOSIT All tentative dates not confirmed within 14 days will be made available for alternative bookings. To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required prior to one month from your event. This deposit is taken off the total account at the end of your event. Upon payment of your deposit, you are here-by agreeing to the terms and conditions listed within this document for your event with Mexicano. 2. FINAL NUMBERS Final numbers and menu selection must be confirmed at least ten days prior to your function. This is the minimum number of guests for which you will be charged. Any additional numbers will be charged accordingly prior to your event, or therefore after if on the night changes occur. 3. MINIMUM SPEND The minimum spend amount for in house functions is $3500. This can be made up across both food, beverage and takeaway food and drink. Minimum spend may increase during peak periods. In the event minimum spend is not achieved, the balance between the minimum spend and the actual spend will be charged to your account. The minimum spend for external function catering is based around our minimum numbers of 50 guests. Should we come to an agreement to cater for numbers less than this, an additional staff wages charge will be applicable to your final invoice. 4. PAYMENT Payment for the function based on your final numbers must be settled ten days prior to your event. Mexicano accepts payment by cash, Visa, MasterCard, Amex and electronic transfer of funds. 5. CAKE For Mexicano restaurant events, you are welcome to bring a cake in to the restaurant. Please note however fridge space is not available. We include the cutting and presentation on platter boards or served individually. There is just a $2.50 per person cakeage fee for this service. No other food or beverages are to be brought into the restaurant without prior approval. For external events we can either source your cake for you and add this amount to your final invoice. We source our cakes through @Tallmancakes @sweetconnoisseur and @copperforkcakes. Should you source your cake yourself, this just incurs a $2.50 per person cake cutting fee which will be dispersed on to platters cocktail style, per table or to a dessert station. 6. RESPONSIBILITY Upon booking confirmation and deposit payment, you accept financial responsibility for any damage or breakage incurred as a result of yourself and your guests. This includes damage to all serve ware items, cooking and transport equipment. WE understand that breakage of glassware is sometimes unavoidable. We will only charge here should there be an excessive amount broken at your event. Water glasses are charged at $4 per glass, with wine glasses charged at $6 per glass. Mexicano Catering and Restaurant will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property left within the restaurant during or after the function. 7. CANCELLATION In the event that a confirmed booking is cancelled with less than one months’ notice the deposit is non-refundable. In the event that a confirmed booking is cancelled with more than one months’ notice, but less than two months’ notice the deposit may be carried over to a future event, provided it is booked within 3 months of the cancellation. If a confirmed booking is cancelled with greater than two months’ notice a full refund of the deposit will be provided. Should COVID-19 affect your ability to host your confirmed event, we will be happy to transfer your credit to a future date, within three months of your original date at any time prior to your event. 8. CLEANING General cleaning is included in the cost of your function, however if additional cleaning is required, supplementary charges will be incurred. 9. DECORATIONS The room decorations are entirely up to you, aside from a few simple rules. No decorations are to be applied to any wall without prior approval from management. No confetti or table scatterings are allowed. Mexicano management must be notified in advance of any displays, setups, signage, and decorations for in house events 10. BUMP IN / BUMP OUT For Mexicano in house events, the space will be available 15 minutes either side of the start and finish time. We have limited storage on site, however if you do require to store any items overnight for collection the following day this can be arranged. Please note, items stored are done so at your own risk; Mexicano accepts no liability for loss or damage of property. 11. ENTERTAINMENT/PHOTOGRAPHY Mexicano has a sound system available at the restaurant for in house bookings. You can play your own music via a smart device throughout the course of your function at no cost. Only if your event has booked out the entire restaurant Alternatively, you may wish to hire a DJ or musician. Approval must be given by Mexicano Restaurant for all entertainment. If you are seeking entertainment of an adult nature, this must be approved in writing by Mexicano Management, and we do reserve the right to refuse any entertainment that we deem to be inappropriate. A photographer is also available at an additional cost. Photo booths are also allowed in Mexicano should space allow. 12. PERSON UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE / IDENTIFICATION /RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL Guests under the age of 18 are permitted to be on the restaurant premises or in the function space. Organisers of any external function will be held responsible for all guests under 18 years. Liquor must not under any circumstances be supplied to a minor. Staff will refuse to serve alcohol to any guests unable to show suitable proof of age identification e.g. – Proof of age card, Driver’s License or Passport. Management and staff practice Responsible Service of Alcohol and thus reserve the right to refuse service to anyone showing anti-social behavior or signs of intoxication. All drink packages are subject to Mexicano liquor licensing management plan service standards. Mexicano is licensed until 10pm Tuesday to Thursday, 12am Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, closing time is at the discretion of the manager on duty dependent on agreed upon finish times and level of intoxication. 13. All food and drinks packages are based on four hours of service. Any additional hours of food service are dependent on your numbers and how many staff are required to execute those remaining hours. For any additional beverage package hours, a per head price of $80 will be charged. Additional hours can only be added on to the end of your event and must be arranged and paid for prior to your event
