When constructing horse boxes and stables, the guideline for assessing horse husbandry
must be observed from an animal welfare point of view.
Upon request, our civil engineer will prepare the foundation plans and the verifiable statics for you.
He can also, if desired, take over the complete planning. (Application for building permit) We advise,
manufacture, deliver and assemble from the upper edge of the foundation. In addition, we can
economically equip your system with our LED lighting. The electrical installation of your lighting can
be done by our technicians. A light calculation for each project will be created by our light designer
(company Loibas).
How big does a horsebox have to be?
Withers height (wh) x 2, in the square (Wh x 2 )²
Example: a horse with 1,68m withers height: (1,68x2)² = 11,29m²
A box with 3,00m x 3,00m is too small for a horse like that.

Professional Horse Boxes
Our professional horse boxes have a height of 2300mm, door width 1300mm. Profile strength 50x50x3mm, C – profile. With
closed fronts is a window and a feed hatch included in the price. The grid strength ¾", pipe thickness 2.65mm, distance 48mm.
Round pillars, thickness101mm, decorative balls. All metal parts are galvanized according to DIN EN ISO 1461.

Dung Removal Systems There are many types of dung removal systems, e.g partition walls that are suspended floating on the stable lane. Prerequisite here is a level concrete floor which allows an easy opening oft he partition walls. The partition wall is suspended behind with a heavy duty srew and a roller system in a guide rail. The front part is sitting on a heavy duty roller. The gap measure to the bottom is – 3cm. At deeper horse boxes you can work with a dung bohle. Here we offer metal profiles which will laterally anchored in the deep horse box with screws. It is easily possible here to use the board for the dung area. We recommend to use a resistant wood for the dung area,e.g Denya – hardwood what currently is popular for its density and texture The front of the boxes can also be opened into the stable lane. We recommend to always open a horsebox in two-part. Due to the heavy weight of the steel and the fillng you can get problems with opening or closing over time. Therefore a system for the dung removal should be easy to handle, it will save time and makes work a lot easier when craping. Fronts with sliding doors in the stable can under certain circumstances also be opened in two parts. However, here must be carefully planned on site.
Group Housing & Roughage Feeding
If you keep your horses in a group, we are happy to advise you and check the conditions on site. The feeding over feeding
places is very popular. The intake of roughage can from the horse easily be taken out of the stable lane. The advantage
here is that no pesticides from the litter can be picked up. Also, the roughage loss is reduced with a feeding from outside
the horse box.
Roughage spaces for bales can be planned
With a new planning of your stables it is also possible to have hay racks integrated on all fronts, what allows an effortless
filling from the stable alley. With a dung removal system, the distance from the ground up to the hay rack can also be
taken into account. Accidents or damages during the dung removal are therefore excluded.
Hay racks can also be retrofitted to an older state of your stable. Here we have the opportunity to hang up the hay racks
onto the wall to your existing system. The lower side of the hay racks is then fixed again so that no accidents can happen.
We also have corner hay racks with a foodsaver grid in program, which is very popular by our customers.
Feeding Technology From B&B Equipment When it comes to horse keeping, the focus is on the health and well-being of every horse. Of course, this area also includes optimal feeding as it has a major impact on the well-being of the animals. However, due to various circumstances, an adequate and optimal healthy feeding of the animals can not always be guaranteed. But the solution to this problem is so simple! We offer you different feeding systems for your horses which will help you to solve these problems. Completely designed for your stables you will find automatic feeders that guarantee an optimal supply and an individual amount of feed for your animals. Power hay rack To provide horses optimally in different stables or on the pasture, electronic feeding systems are available. These are not only providing a thoughtful feeding of the animals, they are also making the stable owners work easier. With the power rack from B&B Equipment a time conrolled roughage rack is available, what is outstanding for open stables as well as for boxes. The setting allows up to 46 feeding intervals and spends the correct amount of food throughout the day. In order to satisfy all horses, the lattice bars can be partially removed. On the paddock, the power racks can be interconnected with the optionally available solar system what provides up to 7 horses a sufficient amound of hay. The filling volume of the power racks is about three to four small square bales, what depends on the actual length and density of the cut. Optionally you can purchase further equipment for the power rack. In addition to the solar or battery operation you can have a hay irrigation for dust binding installed. Especially hay dust is dangerous for horses and can lead to discomfort. The power rack can be adapted to the needs of your horses as well as your stables.
Feeding Technology From B&B Equipment Concentrated feed – and roughage feed machines For the horses health and for an economic stable Operation. We are creating solutions around a healthy and appropriate horse husbandry. With our automatic feeders, flexible solutions are available for all types of husbandry. The control of our feeding systems is build individually by B&B for each plant. All controls can be operated via a screen at the controller. Solar and battery operation are also possible. The Powerfeeder Standard (36l/45l/55l) The Powerfeeder Standard is a concentrate feeder made of stainless steel. Individual small food rations are good for the horse health and use sparingly the full energy value of the feed. Oat,cereal, pellets and all commercially available feed mixtures can be easily portioned with the power feeder up to 20 times a day and a 100% after-trickle free.By using the power feeder you relieve your time management, horse health and build your horse-operation future oriented. The Powerfeeder² (2x18l/2x22,5l) Provide horses really well. With the unique two-chamber system of the concentrate feed vending machine you have the possibility to store two different types of feed seperately from each other and allocate proportionally in different quantities. E.g Molasses-containing feeds and dry oats can be performance- appropriate stored separately but still be assigned at feeding in a mixing ratio determined by you. Over the input at the central controller, individual feed mixes and quantities will be saved for each box. The Powerfeeder Plus All feeders are available as powerfeeder plus. The Powerfeeder Plus consists of one of our concentrate feed machine as well as the associated trough-unit. The concentrate feed machine and the stainless steel trough can be fittet with all models from the powerfeeder range. Closer stable lanes benefit from the installation of the Powerfeeder Plus in the box.
Horse Stable Module Compare to brick stables with a ring belt and rafter roof, the module stable is very inexpensive and compare to self- supporting frame constructions even cheaper by a third. There is only simple inexpensive concrete work needed: Base plate with strip foundation on frost depth. The stable lane can be paved (grippy surface). We advise, manufacture, deliver and assemble from top edge foundation. We also offer an extensive range of accessories: - Complete water-ring-pipe with heater. This system prevents frozen lines in the winter. - Paddock fence, made of sturdy galvanized steel pipes (blow and bite solid), also possible with gates. - Width slider - dung removal system - Stable lighting - Complete stable equipment

Flooring In Horse Boxes
Horse boxes mats have proven themselves very well as flooring for horse stables. No matter if you want to
save litter or prevent osteoarthritis. The „Basic" rubber mat is very robust and durable,soft and animal friendly.
She is suitable for boxes, stable lanes and run-stables. The hammered surface is non-slip and yet easy to
clean.Through the natural rubber caracteristics a perfect isolation will be created. It is a very simple and

We recommend only plastic troughs. Galvanized troughs can have unhealthy effects on your horse. When
ingestion from the trough, the galvanizing can be scraped off by the horse. The zinc is then taken up with the
food, it settles in the liver and can not be processed by the horse body. Galvanized troughs are nevertheless
still permissible and written down in the FN standard.

Rotary Gates / Sliding Gates Our doors can be individually manufactured according to the customers requirements. All metal elements are galvanized according to DIN EN ISO 1461. The angle frames are hot rolled, this increases the stability. The angle frame has a size of 60 x 60x 6mm. For large gates with high weight we are using square profiles and set them as frames in the masonry. Partly on stronger outer walls with clinker, additional tabs will be attached to the gate frame and masonry. Sliding gates can be manufactured in one or two parts. As with the rotary gates, windows with safety glass or full fillings can be installed as a closed variant. We recommend to fill gates and doors with our plastic wood look. The advantages here: No dwindling of material, UV- resistant and easy in care. With pollution it can be cleaned with a high-pressure-cleaner. Unlike wood, you have a five-year warranty. Optionally, gates and doors can also be produced with a round arch, here you also have the opportunity among other things to choose between galvanizing and powder coating in all RAL colors.
Riding Hall Lighting
The most important and the heart of a riding facility, is the the riding hall. Lessons are daily taken here, but also
significant sales achieved. Events or tournaments are held. With our LEDs, we have an economical and energy
efficient luminaire that lights up your riding hall shadow-free evenly and economically. Depending on the floor color,
we can optimally illuminate your riding hall with a natural daylight or a warm light. The conventional metal halide-
lamps have a light energy consumption and makes an uneven light as well as shadows on the hoofbeats. Let us
advise you free of charge. We are happy to come and visit you to make a light calculation tailored to your riding arena
and needs.

For a riding hall with a hoof beat of 20/40 usually only 14 lamps are needed. This depends on the hight and binder
number of your riding hall. The consumption would be at 1050 watts at full illumination. For a riding hall with with a hoof
beat of 20/60 usually 24 lamps are required, 1800 watts of consumption at full power. For events we recommend
between 200-300 Lux, that means a third row would be needed. Depending on the environment and possibilities, with
stronger LEDs can be worked.Riding Hall Lighting The series High Bay HB with a power of 72 watts, 7900 lumens and different beam angles. With this lamp, sports and industrial halls, outdoor areas such as sports and riding arenas are optimally illuminated thanks to the IP 65 degree of prottection. The lamp can be assambled with special brackets to 2 or 3 lights. From only one point in the hall, a light amount of 24200 lumens can be installed. We are able to uniformly illuminate a riding hall with 300 Lux and with a significantly less energy consumption
Sound For The Riding Hall
The passive system loudspeaker made of high-strength wood is
manufactured individually according to order in different versions. E.g as a
completely lowered box in the middle of the hall, for hanging on chains or as a
half-shell that can be screwed to the glue-wood binder. Due to short distances
and the specialization of our carpentry, we can respond to special designs,
the color or grain request. The acoustic will be tuned to your riding hall, the
angles are designed so, that no matter whether speech output or music, a
uniform and hall-free sound will be achieved.
The dimensions are usually standard 190 x 120 x 80cm. The aesthetic
distribuation of the low and tweeter in the trapezoidal solid wood box gives a
very nice high quality overall impression and is an eye-catcher for your riding
hall.
Due to the downward sloping designs, the approach of dust is reduced to a
minimum and extends the cleaning intervals enormously. In addition, this
sound package includes a high-quality mixing desk and an amplifier. The
components can also be ordered separately. Well-founded advice includes the

The Fregate riding arena – LED – pole luminaire with elegant design and optimal light output for large outdoor
riding arenas or arena lighting systems. The luminaire has a consumption of 150 watts. For a good riding arena
lighting 20/40 you need only 4 of your Fregate LED luminaires. A protective silicate glass is used as a diffuser.
The light color is available in 4000 or 5000 kelvin. The light intensity of a lamp has 15500 lumens.

Slick LED tub-luminaire
Energy-efficient and cost-effective LED tub-luminaire. The
aluminium pressure housing is equipped with particularly rich

The size of the square we lit has a size of 60 x 100m. Six masts were installed with a light point height of 20m. With each mast, 3 AAA lux arena sport sites lighting were mounted and adjusted. The LED floodlight system has a total power of 3.996.000 lumens and makes a bright uniform light of over 350 lux. A retrofit to 500 lux is easily possible. The system is completely dimmable and the light can be controlled with a remote control after input. E.g 20,40,60,80 and 100% power can be switched via remote control. The remote communicates via Zigbee control system and can switch from luminaire to luminaire the desired light level without long delays. The total consumption of the luminaires at full power is at 27kW/h.

Illuminance levels in equestrian sports
Outdoor facilities for equestrian sport are illuminated with headlights and spotlights on one or
more tall masts, depending on their size. The higher the lights hang, the lower the risk of glare.
For racetracks, highly screened pole lights or LEDs with lens technology are suitable, that can
scatter the light. Important are sufficient vertical illuminance onto rider and horse, only this way
judges, coaches and spectators can recognize the actors well.
Especially in equestrian sports a good uniformity of lights is necessary. E.g. the speed of horse
racing requires high vertical illuminance levels of up to 750 lux in the home-straight. For other
riding facilities (dressage, springing), 500 lux are the value for lighting-class 1.
Lighting-class 1 (350-500 lux),high performance competitions, high
performance training, spectators, great view distance.
Lighting-class 2 (200-300 lux), competitions with middle level, performance
training, spectators, middle view distance.
