ROLAND THE MURAL FEST MASCOT Since the early days of the Mural Fest at Sheffield the Tasmanian Devil has been a Mascot for the festival, In 2013 the International Mural Fest team held a competition to name the Tassie Devil Logo and the winning name was ROLAND. Since the 2014 International Mural Fest funds have been raised to support the “Save the Tassie Devil Fund” and ROLAND handed over a cheque in the July of that year and since then regular funds have been sent to the fund. In 2019 two Artists Lindsay Gardam and Ferri Lee approached the Davies Construction International Mural Fest to paint an anamorphic picture which uses distortion to create a 3D image of ROLAND on the pathway around Mural Park, these two Artists thought it would be a fun project for them and it would be a learning process to paint an anamorphic image as well as add a little extra amusement for visitors to the Park. As you travel around the Park stop and take a photo with ROLAND. STEAMFEST 2021, 6-8 March 2021. 7
