VCE EXAMS NAVIGATOR 2020 STUDENT INFORMATION AND EXAMINATION TIMETABLE This booklet contains information on: • General Achievement Test (GAT) • Approved materials and equipment • VCAA rules • Examination dates and times • Special Provision
Message from the Minister for Education This has been an extraordinary year that has presented unprecedented challenges for Victoria’s education sector. I want to thank every Victorian school, our students and our teachers and school staff who have shown such deep commitment and impressive flexibility in managing the rapidly changing circumstances and demands of 2020. Students and their families have been subjected to significant challenges, none more so than our senior secondary students for whom this year is so important. The year hasn’t been easy. We all know that. But I could not be prouder of how our students and our schools have responded. Students undertaking VCE Unit 3–4 studies, and especially those completing their final year of schooling, have shown great initiative, energy and resilience in tackling these challenges. This booklet – VCE Exams Navigator 2020 – is a comprehensive guide to what you need to know about VCE examinations and the GAT, Special Provision and how to access your final VCE results and ATAR. I encourage you to read through this booklet and familiarise yourself with the content that relates to the VCE studies you are completing in 2020. I wish you every success for the remainder of 2020 and your future endeavours. The Hon. James Merlino MP Deputy Premier of Victoria Minister for Education
