A classically beautiful ship for around 1000 guests
In today's cruise ship market, our ship is regarded as small due to the fact that we have limited passenger capacity. The beautiful
teak-wood decks exude classic charm, working in perfect harmony with the ship’s elegant and modern appearance. At 219 metres
long and with a volume of 55,820 GRT, the ship provides its guests with all the space they need to thrive, spread across nine pas-
senger decks. On board, you'll feel this spaciousness, for example, in the cabins and suites (16 to 102 sqm in size), five bars and
lounges in different designs, five restaurants, an elegant spa area with sauna and steam bath, a large fitness centre, sports areas
on the outside decks as well as two pools, one of which has a sliding glass roof. And in our “Hollywood's” show theatre over two
decks, our on-board theatre company provides you with top-class evening entertainment. Bom espetáculo!

We want you to be safe when you're travelling. It’s not just our captain – who really does know the ropes – and his experienced
seafaring crew who will ensure your safety, our range of measures also include mandatory sea emergency exercises and safety
measures, meticulous technical care and maintenance of the ship and life-saving equipment as well as extensive infection protec-
tion and hygiene practices. Of course, VASCO DA GAMA also has an on-board hospital with an experienced on-board doctor and
skilled medical personnel.

Our total of 550 crew members have just one goal: to make you feel comfortable! On top of the generous room-to-passenger
ratio and our range of on-board facilities, the ample crew-to-guest ratio means you can find your own personal way to relax on
board the ship. Whether you prefer to read a good book with a cool drink under the glass dome in our viewing lounge, the “Dome”,
or would like to expend some of your energy in the outdoor sports areas, VASCO DA GAMA has the full range of options to choose
from. For families, our children's area over two decks and our special family cabins provide the ideal basis for an enjoyable holiday
together – on family-friendly terms. We also have an attractive programme for singles: we have a cabin allocation for all dates
with a single supplement of just 15%. Our chefs are, of course, able to meet all common dietary requirements. The ship also has
some cabins for disabled guests and has a dialysis unit.
Protect what we value
Due to its small size, our ship is also able to dock at smaller ports without “overcrowding” them like mega ships do. VASCO DA
GAMA travels using low-sulphur diesel fuel (MGO), which generates 70-85% less sulphur oxide than crude oil. Before the start
of the 2021 season, we once again carried out extensive upgrades to the ship’s technology in order to further reduce emissions,
amongst other things.

Pool with sliding glass roof
There are two pools available on board VASCO DA GAMA. What-
ever the temperature outside, you can always cool off or swim a
few lengths in the main pool on the Lido Deck. That’s because the
modern sliding glass roof can either be left open in good weather,
bringing in the warm summer air and sunshine, or when the tem-
perature drops, it can be closed.
Club Bistro
Welcome to our stylish buffet restaurant. At different live cooking
stations, you can put your meals together yourself, completely
individually. In an informal bistro atmosphere, you’ll dine with
the best views.

We don’t just provide childcare for our youngest guests in the
holiday periods. The children’s area on board VASCO DA GAMA
extends over two decks and also has two outdoor areas with
plenty of room for fun and adventures, making your family
holiday on board the ship a varied and relaxing time for all family

Would you like to do some sport out in the fresh air during your
cruise? Our outdoor sports area offers a range of different
options. For example, you can play a round of paddle tennis or
run a few miles around the jogging track.

Alfresco Grill
Do you just feel like eating a little something now and then? Come
over to the Alfresco Grill right next to the pool on the Lido Deck
(Deck 11), where you can get light dishes for those in-between
times when the restaurants are closed.
Dome and night club
For a fantastic finish to your eventful day on the cruise, enjoy
world-class drinks and cocktails with the best view in the “Dome”
bar. And if you really want to let go and party, pop over to the night
club with its catchy beats.
Fitness centre and spa area
For your very own physical wellbeing, our fitness centre with
cardio machines and our spa area with sauna, steam bath and
massage (for a fee) are available. Whether you want to do some
sport yourself or would rather relax and let yourself be pampered

At the classic Waterfront Restaurant, we serve international
specialities. Select your meal from a diverse menu, which is
served to you at your table in style. You can also enjoy breakfast
at the Waterfront Restaurant. Of course, you’ll regularly find Oasis pool
Portuguese delicacies on the menu.
At the rear on Deck 10, this pool really is an oasis for relaxation,
with a wonderful sea view and a constant fresh breeze. With its
peaceful location, beautiful teak-wood deck and comfortable
pool loungers, the oasis pool is an inviting place where you can
really switch off.

Blue Room
As with all bars on board VASCO DA GAMA, the Blue Room also
has its own unique character. In a modern atmosphere, we serve
signature drinks as well as the classics. Night owls will appreciate
this place in particular. It’s never too late for a nightcap and the
“blue hour” is one of the most beautiful of the day.
Captain’s Club
This tastefully decorated bar is the place to go for a cosy drink
after an eventful day. An old-fashioned whisky sour or a glass of
fine red wine – for an evening in fine surroundings. Likewise for
good conversation and new acquaintances, you’ve come to the
right place.
Hollywood’s
Shows and entertainment – quite clearly an important part of
any cruise. Our very own “Hollywood” on the sea is just as good
as any Broadway theatre. The theatre extends over two decks,
Ocean Bar forming the artistic heart of the ship. Music, acting, artistry – you
won’t cease to be amazed.
The Ocean Bar is a place for design fans. Its successful mix of
colonial style and orangery makes for a relaxing stay and is a real
treat for both eyes and mind. This place always exudes charm no
matter what time of day it is. Enjoy an aperitif or a delicious tea
with fine biscuits.

Waterfront Eurasia Morning. Noon. Afternoon. Indulgence with authentic highlights. Our extensive and healthy breakfast provided in our range of different restaurants will give you a varied start to the day as well as plenty of energy. Our kitchen crew use all their passion and skill to cook for you every day. Whether you get a light lunch put together for you at the Club Bistro buffet (currently no self-service, our friendly staff will serve you), or have the extensive lunch menu in one of our Waterfront Restaurants – you can always choose from a wide range of international and regional dishes from the region you are travelling in. Our kitchen crew also regularly add authentic Portuguese touches. How about some traditionally prepared cod, for example? A saying goes that Portuguese cuisine has more recipes for bacalhau than there are days in the year. Or do you fancy sampling a Francesinha, a tasty sandwich from Porto. It’s not just children who love it! Traditionally, Portuguese seafarers have always indulged in culinary reminders of their home country on their travels. You’ll notice it too we celebrate afternoon tea and coffee time on board, which includes a wide range of desserts. Of course, there are also sweet treats from Portugal to choose from – for example, have you heard of pastel de nata or torta de Azeitão? 12

In all the five restaurants, you’ll be spoiled by the wide range of first-class delights on
offer, freshly prepared by the kitchen crew. While the Club Bistro presents buffets,
show cooking and culinary themes, in our three Waterfront Restaurants, we serve
you at the table. The same goes for our fine dining restaurant The Grill, where we offer
you excellent menus for a small surcharge. In all restaurants, you can dine at extended,
flexible mealtimes with a free choice of seats. The Alfresco Grill also offers light dishes
to satisfy those little pangs of hunger outside of mealtimes.
Dining in the evening – stylish and relaxed to suit every taste
Your culinary highlight of the day awaits, before or after our evening show in Hollywood’s – because what would the most beautiful
cruise be without its evening culinary delights? Every evening, our experienced and creative kitchen crew always prepare a varied
and top-quality menu – with themed buffets in the Club Bistro. Our five restaurants offer a wide selection to suit every taste, not
just in terms of the range of food on offer, but also the atmosphere and decor. You can look forward, for example, to international
specialities, Mediterranean dishes, Portuguese delicacies and also Asian-inspired fusion cuisine. Selected ingredients and healthy
preparation will give you indulgence with (almost) no pangs of guilt.
Refined drinks with the best view
Maybe you want to start the evening with an appetising aperitif – for example, with a good port, or the modern version, a port and
tonic? Or do you want to end the evening somewhere cosy? Enjoy classic cocktails and signature creations with a view of the evening
scenery, the sunset or the starlit sky. The name “Dome” says it all: this fully glazed space is the perfect place for your sundowner or
nightcap. But the other bars, cafés and lounges also have fine wines and a fantastic range of assorted alcoholic and non-alcoholic
drinks on offer. Of course, the friendly service team will also be delighted to prepare any drink to your personal taste.

valuable information from the tour guide. This way you can always keep a proper distance on city tours and sightseeing – because
we care about your health. They are easy to use and you can set the volume yourself. The sound and quality are noise-free and
very good. The audio system can also be used with a hearing aid.

Your home on the high seas: on board VASCO DA GAMA, you will find exactly the right cabin for your cruise on the oceans. No matter
which deck you are on or which category you choose – you will feel completely at home. All our cabins are equipped with a wardrobe,
a shower or bathtub, rest room, individually regulated air conditioning/heating, a safe and satellite TV. The beds can be separated
into twin beds upon request. Hairdryers are available in all cabins.

Plenty of space for your stay
VASCO DA GAMA has five restaurants, an Alfresco Grill and various bars and lounges. The “Hollywood’s” theatre is the perfect venue
for your entertainment programme. The spa area with sauna and fitness centre, as well as two pools, provide plenty of space for
relaxation or sporting activities. You can also get active on the outside deck, where you will find a running track, among other things.
In the children’s area there is lots on offer for your little ones.
What else you need to know
The on-board currency is the Euro. At the end of the cruise, you can pay your bill and any excursions you booked on board in cash or
with your credit card (MasterCard, VISA).
