I am a Commerce Graduate from C U. I have worked as a finance professional with a Semi-
Government organization in Qatar for 39 years. During my stay in Qatar, apart from my professional
life I was actively involved in social, cultural and community engagement activities particularly
organized by Indian Embassy and Indian community at large.
I was the Founder member of ‘Bangiya Parishad’ the organization of Bengali community in
Qatar which was established in 1996. i have served as the Vice President, General Secretary and the
President as a part of the Managing Committee of the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) functioning under
the ages of Indian Embassy, Qatar representing 800,000 Indians through the years 2004-2014.
During tenure ICC made several remarkable achievements which would always remain as a
milestone in the history of ICC. In May 2014, I relocated back to Kolkata with my spouse. I am a
Founder Member of UWA, I was a member of the Managing Committee from 2015 till March 2019
(General Secretary from till March 2018).
From day one of the inception of UWA, I have worked closely with the members in executing of
various actions to address the initial challenges towards protecting the interest of Urbanites. This
includes but not limited to (1) Seized of selling of open car park space (2) Deferred Final payment of
20% till CC of KMC received (3) Fit out facilities without providing PDC (4) Water Quality and
performance of WTP etc.

I am extremely passionate and ambition driven woman who took the initiative of completing
MBA at the age of 45 years after fulfilling my responsibilities in embarking both my sons in their
respective careers. Post my MBA, I have been an active member in my family business where
overseas key strategic decisions to ensure smooth functioning the day to day operations of the
organisation Vindhya Projects Pvt. Ltd.
Besides my personal and professional life, I am the current tower captain of Tower 3 at Urbana
and serves as the voice between the residents of Tower 3 and UWA. I have been solving the
grievances of my fellow tower residents for the last one year with utmost dedication and
enthusiasm.
I am a committee member in the Social Service committee of UWA and engage myself actively
in all the activities and events such as orphanage visits, food distributions drives, old age home visits
and clean up drives. I am also the committee member of fire committee and the environment
committee here at Urbana.
Moreover, I am an ally of the Alliance Club Organisation of district 101 and has undertaken
lead in executing a range of initiatives in the recent times to help the needy during the COVID-19
crisis.
