UP-DF760 FilmStation Digital Film Imager With superior image quality and high speed printing for diagnostic Overview imaging The UP-DF760 FilmStation Digital Film Imager incorporates the very best in digital thermal printing technologies developed by Sony over many years. This compact film imager is ideal for printing data sent from MRI, CT, DR/CR and other diagnostic imaging sources in the modern hospital. Capable of speedy printing at up to 100 sheets an hour, the UP-DF760 delivers highly durable prints with superior image quality and resolution. Film sizes are selectable to suit various diagnostic modality printing tasks, including standard 14x17-inch blue thermal film, as well as 11 x 14, 10 x 12, and 8 x 10-inch prints. A new 'Dual' mode allows two UP-DF760 units to be configured as a group for even more efficient handling of print jobs. Compatible with latest DICOM standards, the UP-DF760 FilmStation is a valuable addition to diagnostic imaging workflow in today's clinical environments. © 2004 - 2021 Sony Corporation. High speed printing Features The UP-DF760 reproduces precise diagnostic images at a rate of up to 100 sheets of 14x17 inch blue thermal film (UPT-517BL) per hour. The first print can be delivered in approximately 63 seconds, and subsequent prints in approximately 36 seconds. Superior image reproduction Superior direct thermal-printing technology enables extremely high quality prints with a resolution of 604 dpi. The combination of a thermal printing head and PQC (Picture Quality Control) enables diagnostic images to be reproduced clearly and accurately. Sony’s sharpness algorithm assures consistently crisp images, not only in high spatial frequency areas but also in middle spatial frequency areas. Dual configuration printing Two FilmStations can be configured as a single 'group', with one UP-DF760 set as the main unit and the second as the subordinate unit. Print jobs input to the main unit are allocated to the relevant device, reducing the workload on a single imager. With both units loaded with the same size film (UPT-517BL), print speeds of up to 200 sheets per hours are achievable. For extra flexibility, each FilmStation can be loaded with two different sized films, allowing printing with a maximum of four different film sizes. Compact space saving design Thanks to its innovative printing mechanism, the UP- DF760 has space-saving approximate dimensions of just 600 (W) x 316 (H) x 686 (D) mm and a weight of only 66 kg. The design of the UP-DF760 prevents accumulation on the film of dust particles and other foreign matter. Contact area between the thermal head and film is totally isolated from the flow of incoming air from the cooling fans. Also, dust-cleaning rollers clean the surface of the film, which remains inside the UP-DF760 until the printing process is completed to preventing foreign matter from damaging prints. Uses reliable blue thermal film Sony’s blue thermal film assures high contrast, high density diagnostic images with excellent stability and durability. Unique IC tag technology in each pack tracks film type and number of prints remaining inside the film tray. Film type can be automatically displayed on the imager's LCD screen. Multiple film sizes for various radiology modalities The UP-DF760 supports four different film sizes: 14x17, 11x14, 10x12 and 8x10-inch prints. These various sizes make the imager suitable for a variety of diagnostic modality printing tasks. Two separate film trays are included, each capable of accepting any size of film. The printer's output tray sorts film prints according to their size. DICOM connectivity The UP-DF760 is equipped with a DICOM 3.0 interface, enabling it to be connected to hospital imaging networks. Gamma curve settings Gamma curve adjustment allows the film imager to reproduce accurate gray-scale contrast as required. Alongside a default fixed gamma curve, 19 additional gamma curves can be saved to achieve best contrast © 2004 - 2021 Sony Corporation. from multiple modalities. Large effective print area The UP-DF760 can print edge-to-edge on the horizontal plane, leaving blank areas only at the top and bottom of the film. This allows doctors to check films with no gap when two films are laid side by side. Quick warm-up time From power on, the UP-DF760 is ready to start printing in only two minutes, allowing rapid use whenever the unit is required. Environmentally friendly No liquid chemicals are used in the printing process, and no chemical waste is produced after printing. Sony thermal film doesn’t contain any metal component such as silver, and so can be treated as household waste rather than as industrial waste.
