UC 7 Course To be considered for UC transfer admission Pattern as a junior, you must complete a pattern of seven UC-transferable college courses. 24-30 7 course pattern 2 courses in English composition ( 8 Units) + 30-40+ Major units 1 course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning (3-5 units) __________________________ 4 courses from at least 2 of the following subject = 60-70+ Total Units areas: (13-17 units) arts and humanities social and behavioral sciences For STEM majors, esp. placing physical and biological sciences into higher math levels
Academic Planning 1. STEM majors: Focus on a few core GEs and the rest on major prep. Non-STEM majors: Focus on full GE, major prep, and electives if necessary Note: Some STEM majors at UC Berkeley’s College of L&S recommends either IGETC or L&S GE Breath 2. What are TAGS? TAGS are agreements/contracts with universities: • Admissions Guaranteed admissions (if follow through with all requirements) Priority admissions / early admissions • Pathway • Target to shoot for, especially GPA • Back pocket / lessens anxiety
ADT (AA-T / AS-T) • Degrees offered at California Community Colleges. • Guaranteed admission to a CSU, but not necessarily to a particular campus or major. • Priority consideration for admissions • 60 semester units after transfer to obtain a BA/BS degree • GPA bump of .1 for impacted majors

Which Campus should I choose to apply for TAG? UC Davis UC Irvine • Most students will TAG with one of these • You may only request to UC Santa four UC campuses. TAG to ONE UC Campus. Barbara • UC Irvine is the most popular. So, we suggest that you UC Santa think critically about your Cruz choices!
When To Apply for UC TAG? • All 6 of the UC campuses that offer TAG allow you to TAG for the fall admission cycle. • However, only Merced allows TAG for mid-year transfers (Spring Semester).
