2 A COMMUNITY OF TH E S P I R E THE SPIRE 3 E AT PILGRIMS PD U u Christ Church Bronxville Stewardship 2019 Fellow Pilgrims: When I last wrote about the status of our 2019 giving campaign, we were a distressing $340,000 away from our goal for the year. Since then, many of you have welcomed your canvasser into your home and provided a tremendous amount of feedback for the future of our ministry. Your generosity has also brought us to within $200,000 of our goal -- still a significant gap, but much reduced from a month ago. As I comb through the numbers, I am heartened to see a significant increase in pledges over 2018 levels for many parishioners. We have also been blessed with donations from many new faces, a reflection of our vibrant, diverse and growing congregation. However, I do also see that some of you have yet to click on “Give” on the church’s website and make a commitment for 2019. Please do so by June 30th, so we can put this behind us. The last thing this Treasurer wants is to be Achilles in Zeno’s paradox and never get there (look it up!). Peace. But above all, LOVE!
