Dear Guests of the EDS Auction,
Welcome to the seventh edition of the
Excellent Dressage Sales auction in Hooge Mierde!
Thanks to a great start in 2014, many buyers are now enjoying success with horses
purchased from our EDS collection. Our EDS team is proud of its numerous achievements
to date: these include the stallion Foundation, from the first EDS edition. Under Kirsten
Brouwer, he finished the runner-up at Jumping Amsterdam, behind the phenomenal
dressage horse Total U.S.
However, Foundation is just one of the many successful Grand Prix and Prix St. Georges
horses from past EDS editions. Others include Brother de Jeu, Black Pearl, Wup, Genua
TC, Five Star, Citho, Ferrari, Filegra, Charming Lady, Colt Sollenburg and Four Legends KS.
Sold in the 2019 edition, the stallion Lowlands (auction name: Milli Vanilli) emerged the
reserve champion of the KWPN performance test this winter with a very good score
of 87.5 points. Furthermore, EDS horses also perform remarkably well in many young
horse classes.
For each edition, EDS selectors and organizers strive to assemble a diverse collection of
quality horses – ranging from three-year-olds, to horses in training, to schoolmasters,
to horses which compete at a high level. You will find interesting horses in every price
range, and that makes buying at EDS very appealing. Moreover, auction prices are often
surprisingly favorable.
I hope you enjoy the always pleasant ambience of this wonderful auction, and I wish you
much success in choosing one of our carefully selected horses in this seventh edition of
EDS. Many buyers have purchased EDS horses over the years, and – as evidenced by the
names listed above – many of these special horses have achieved great successes.

Tim is a breeder and dressage enthusiast. His sales and training stable Tim Coomans Dutch Sport Horses has Joop received the Dutch Equestrian Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2009. He is the owner and director of
