A Message from the Management Committee After a difficullt 2020 for the hospitality sector generally, we were delighted, halfway through last year, to be able to welcome our guests back and now we now look forward with pleasure to a full programme of events at The Nightingale Centre during 2022 Already we have eleven school and university bookings and we will be welcoming sixteen Send a Child To Hucklow groups. For some in those groups this will be their first taste of the countryside. Alongside so many young people, we are pleased our regular adult guest groups are returning as well as many guests entirely new to us. As you would expect, we have paid close close attention to health and safety, in particular with regard to Covid-19 (see later), but without detracting from your enjoyable experience with us. A characteristic of the Centre is the variety of groups that book with us. We are used to catering for a wide range of requirements so, if you are not sure whether we could cater for your group, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss and seek to meet your needs. Perhaps 2022 is the time for you to try something new! If you see something in this brochure that intrigues, why not get in touch with the named contact and find out more about it? Whether you are new to the Centre or have visited many times before, we look forward to welcoming you to The Nightingale Centre soon! Taking care of our guests …. Of course we always try to make sure our guests are, as well as comforta- ble and fed well, safe! But, because of the need to be extra careful while the global Covid-19 pandemic has not gone away, we have taken extra precautions while you stay with us, including ● A deep clean of the whole centre before re-opening ● Routine enhanced cleaning ● Additional hand sanitisers in public areas for guest use ● Extra spacing of seating where necessary to follow Government advice or requirements ● Enhanced standards for food preparation including superior cleaning for areas involved in food preparation ● A request that payments are made by card where possible ● A request that everyone carries their own sanitisers and wash/sanitise frequently ● If the Government continues to recommend this, we will ask that masks are worn in public areas when not eating or drinking ● We will ensure group leaders are aware of our Covid security arrange- ments and ask them to sign that they have understood and will take re- sponsibility for group members following the necessary measures. And… Taking advantage of the forced shutdown, we have taken the opportunity to re-cover the worn lounge and sunroom furniture and undertake oth- er maintenance work in the kitchen and else- where.
