Danbury Mission Technologies designs, develops and produces products used to explore space, keep the peace and protect
the world’s armed forces.
As a by-product of the Raytheon and Collins Aerospace merger, DMT was divested and required to build its own stand-alone
IT infrastructure within a limited timeframe. After review of multiple ERP systems and vendors, SAP S/4HANA business, and
the expert consultants from Cognitus were selected as an integration partner to meet the 9-month deadline.

Challenge 3 – Data Migration Scenario: The source system access was restricted; thus, options to extract source data were limited. Cognitus Solution: Cognitus deployed in-house Data Migration tools that were developed specifically for DMT. The tools consumed flat files and applied the transformations which could be directly consumed within S/4HANA. © 2022 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. All rights reserved. 13
Challenge 4 – Secure Document Transmission Scenario: As part of the divestiture, the supplier portal for document transfers was terminated. DMT needed to quickly devise a solution to support secure document transmissions. Cognitus Solution: Huddle (a FedRAMP compliant DMS) was implemented within less than a month and allowed DMT to continue operations without disruption. Cognitus facilitated the implementation and designed the automated purging of jobs for rapid data deletion. Challenge 5 – Navigating Team Dynamics and Remote Work
Scenario:
To meet the challenging timeline with DMT’s limited staff, Microsoft
multiple contractors were brought in to build out the IT Teams
infrastructure. The challenge was compounded by increased
COVID-19 concerns and forced working remote. To Do

Atlassian Jira for instant communication, collaboration and
status updates.

partnership.
