THE ATTENDEE CONTACT US THE EXPERT THE STORYTELLER THE TRAILBLAZER THE GIVER “Previously I attended the conference as a graduate student, but this was my first time as a faculty member. The one-on-one mentoring session was like an epiphany. I found myself having come full circle from mentee to mentor, from graduate student to faculty member. During the meeting, I felt goose bumps every time I sat in a roundtable and students approached me with questions and sought advice. Overall this meeting was pivotal in helping me reaffirm my vision and mission... to be in a position where I had direct contact with students and to teach them fundamental scientific principles while providing them with mentorship and guidance.” — Elizabeth Padilla-Crespo, PhD, Professional, Microbiology & Geoscience - 30 -
