Part 1 – Introduction 1 The two The two Settlements Settlements in Trust made by John Spedan Spedan Lewis Lewis in 1929 in 1929 and and 1950 established a business known known as as the the John Lewis John Lewis Partnership, to be owned in trust trust for for the the benefit benefit of its of its members, members, who are Partners from the day day they they join. join. 2 The trustee The trustee of the Settlements is John Lewis Lewis Partnership Partnership Trust Limited (‘the Trust Company’), Trust Company’), andand its its Chairman Chairman isis the the Partnership’s Chairman.
