Join Dr. Frederic Bertley, President and CEO of COSI, and WOSU’s producers of the hit science show QED with Dr. B, a collaboration between WOSU Public Media and COSI, for a behind-the-scenes look at how we produce the show and learn about the science of storytelling! The journey from idea to broadcast is a fascinating process, so WOSU’s Emmy Award-winning content team plus COSI’s brilliant science content creators will walk you through step-by-step and talk about best practices, technology, interviewing, script writing and more. This special experience is part of the 2021 COSI Science Festival, Ohio’s largest annual science event, taking place virtually May 5-8. The Science of Storytelling with the Producers of QED with Dr. B Thursday, May 6 at 2:00pm Visit wosu.org/events to register for this free virtual event Watch ALL-NEW Episodes of QED with Dr. B in May The new weekly science TV show QED with Dr. B has become very popular because it breaks down the big science questions and hottest science topics into easy-to-understand segments that your whole family can watch (and learn from!) together. This month, Dr. B tackles Artificial Intelligence (AI). We hear so much about AI, but how does is it really live up to its promise to enhance our everyday lives? Way more than just powering your social media feed, AI is actually very sophisticated – from robots that help teach special needs children to algorithms predicting the risk of breast cancer. Dr. B also talks to the researcher who unraveled so-called “hope molecules” – mood-boosting hormones released during exercise that can help make us happier, more social and more focused. It turns out that exercise changes a lot more than just your muscles! All this and more this month on QED with Dr. B, Wednesday nights at 7:30 on WOSU TV or online anytime at wosu.org/QED.
