Each is designed and built in accordance with the SOLAS/LSA regulations for fast rescue craft and represents the latest in design features, techniques and practices. Our FRCs are designed to be fast and manoeuvrable in all sea conditions and yet have the lowest possible lifetime ownership costs. Liferafts Liferafts Survival Craft Inspectorate liferafts: quality, approved products supported by a global service network. Survival Craft Inspectorate has created a specialist new division - one that supplies and services our own branded liferafts for the commercial, cruise shipping and energy sectors. The liferafts are available as throwover, davit-launch and open reversible types, from 6 - 72 person capacity sizes. They can be supplied in cylindrical or flat containers, along with various appropriate deck cradle options, under either purchase or hire options. They all carry MED Ships Wheel and SOLAS approvals and are thus accepted by the MCA, GL, DNV, and RINA authorities, among others. All our maintenance routines comply fully with the requirements of our ISO 9001:2008 quality management system. We have developed a wide range of overload tests in full compliance with SOLAS/LSA regulations and MODU codes. These require five-yearly load tests on all lifeboats, FRCs, release mechanisms and davits. Overload testing is also required during the installation and commissioning of new and reconditioned equipment.
