KEWASKUM SCHOOL DISTRICT 2022 SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM Welcome to Summer School 2022! We are offering a variety of courses this year. Please see the matrix on page 11 for all available courses for each grade, as well as meeting times. We are certain that regardless of which course(s) a student chooses, it will be a fun and exciting experience. REGISTRATION • Registration will begin Monday, April 11, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Only online registrations will be accepted. • Bus forms will be part of the online registration. Please review the bus stops on page 10. • When registering, be sure to use your child’s grade level for the current school year. • Because some courses have a limit on enrollment, students will be placed on a first come first serve basis. • The summer school registration deadline is Wednesday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. This deadline will ensure accurate numbers, which guarantees courses will run, determines the appropriate amount of supplies are obtained, and helps us schedule the necessary transportation. LOCATIONS AND TIMES The course description will tell you when and where the class meets. Most courses are held at Kewaskum Elementary School (KES). Some classes will meet in the Kewaskum Middle School (KMS) gym and the Kewaskum High School (KHS) gym. You will receive a confirmation email with further information including a school map in late May. ATTENDANCE, FIELD TRIPS, AND BEHAVIOR The Kewaskum Summer School program is very popular and classes fill up quickly. If you know in advance that your child will miss more than a week of summer school classes due to vacations or other commitments, out of courtesy to our other students, please consider leaving the classes open for students who are able to attend all, or most, of the classes. Attendance is kept during Summer School. If a student is absent three days in a row without special arrangements, he/she will be dropped from the class. To report an absence, call (262)-626-3101 ext. 1000. Behavior: Students attending Summer School are expected to be respectful, responsible, and safe toward self and others. Ad- ministration reserves the right to dismiss students who are not acting in a respectful, responsible, or safe way toward self or others. Students will follow the expectations outlined in the Kewaskum School District elementary, middle, and high school student hand- books which can be found at http://www.kewaskumschools.org/District/Forms. Field Trips: Some classes will go on field trips. A signed permission slip must be on file allowing the student to participate. • Bus transportation will be provided. One bus will run from each of the four (4) satellite locations.(Beechwood, Farmington, Fill- more-Turner Hall, and Wayne), depending on enrollment. Bus registration will be done online. • The buses will pick-up once in the morning and return students after the final class at 11:55 a.m. • NO BUSES WILL RUN BETWEEN CLASSES. • IF YOU WANT TRANSPORTATION BOTH WAYS, THE STUDENT MUST REGISTER FOR CLASSES FROM 8:00 A.M.-11:55 A.M.
