2021 Summer Camps and Program Registration What to expect this year at NDCC Summer Programs 2021 Our Summer Camp Programs focus on consistently meeting Key Principles of Healthy Childhood development, by: • Caring Adults sharing time with children with safety being the #1 priority. • Making Friends through play and participation in activities. • Development of skills through progression and open learning. • Connections with nature in outdoor settings. Registration • Get ready in advance to avoid registration problems. Set-up an account and save your payment information ahead of time at: www.rdck. ca/recreation, scroll and click, “register online”. Go to “account login”. If you need assistance, please call the front desk at: 250-354-4386, press 0. • Please include your emergency contact information in your account with your child’s registration. • After you are registered, we will be asking all caregivers to fill out a Summer Camp Intake form to ensure we are prepared to address all special needs or medical concerns during summer camp. COVID Safety Plans Current Public Health Orders are in effect. Summer Camp Guidelines • Please do not bring money, toys, electronic devices or valuables to summer camp. • Staff will be using open communication and empathetic listening skills to manage social and emotional needs of children during summer camps. Children are expected to behave in a reasonable and respectful way with all participants and staff. Staff will be in contact with you during the day to discuss solutions, if your child is not able to meet reasonable expectations. • Children attending camp will need to take care of basic personal and health needs including: toileting, eating meals and snacks, physically moving with camps in outdoor environments and regulating emotions within their scope of development. • Accessibility for those with individual needs on a 1 on 1 basis are not provided within Summer Camp programs. If your child requires 1 on 1 support, arrangements to provide a family member, support-worker or aide who is 18+ years to attend summer camp with your child, is possible.
