RETAIL POS OVERVIEW The Point of Sale (POS) is the area of a shop where customers pay for the items they purchase. Retail POS software is a system that records financial transactions. It is used in both electric cash registers and integrated computer platforms that record the data of transactions for the sale of services or goods. A POS System is the software and hardware utilized to record a retail store’s financial transactions. It is an ideal solution for store owners to manage and analyze their business. A POS system can be basic free software that can work on any PC, web-based tools like Square or QuickBooks, and fully integrated platforms with mobile POS features like those utilized in Apple stores.
