Dear Parent / Guardian Re: Contributions and Charges To enable the selection of a course that not only meets your child’s academic needs but also your financial requirements, the approximate costs of subjects have been included at the end of this booklet. The Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS) is available to parents/guardians who hold an eligible Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Concession Card. The Scheme comprises an Educational Program Allowance of $235.00 which is paid directly to the school. This allowance covers the voluntary component of all subjects your child undertakes during the school year. Parents and students can choose courses that meet the maximum voluntary charge of $235.00 however, higher cost electives can be selected. The amount in excess of $235.00 must be paid to enable the purchase of additional materials and resources and as such, we rely heavily on parents making full payment of Contributions and Charges. The costs outlined for each of the subjects in this booklet are an approximate cost for 2021. These are subject to change and parents will be advised of final costs for 2021 when the Contributions and Charges sheet is mailed at the end of the year. In accordance with the College’s Contributions and Charges Policy, a deposit of $100 is required upon submission of your child’s electives. This deposit will be allocated towards your Charges for 2021. Please refer to our website for the full policy. I thank you for your support in this matter. Yours faithfully ROB LAWSON PRINCIPAL 9453 0100 @darlingrangesc 117 Berkshire Road darlingrangesc.wa.edu.au FORRESTFIELD WA 6058 darlingrangesc@education.wa.edu.au DARE TO DREAM
