Dear participants in the study abroad program, we would like to welcome you to Germany on behalf of Kiel University. We greatly enjoy hosting you for the duration of this year’s study abroad program. The Intensive Language Program that is being offered will help you to improve your German language skills. We also hope that the extracurricular activities and cultural pro- gram will give you an insight into the German lifestyle. We created a schedule that perfectly joins your classroom activities with trips to experience the regional history of Schleswig-Holstein and other social activities such as our sailing trip. The cooperation between the University of Utah and Kiel University has always been influenced by the great perso- nal commitment of the students and university personnel involved to make this summer program a successful and special event year after year.
