TAIT LODGE Archibald Campbell Tait (1811–1882) Tait Lodge is named after Archibald Campbell Tait (1811– 1882) who was the fifth of six Archbishops (Serving from 1868–1882). The 11th edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica said he was 'undoubtedly one of the foremost public men of his day'.

SUMNER COTTAGE John Bird Sumner (1780–1862) Sumner Cottage is named after John Bird Sumner (1780– 1862) who was the third of six Archbishops (Serving from 1848–1862) that used Addington Palace as his grand summer residence. Sumner was the first cousin of renowned politician William Wilberforce. Sumners was a master of the pen and as such his numerous literary works were highly esteemed.

LONGLEY HOUSE Charles Thomas Longley (1794–1868) Longley House is named after Charles Thomas Longley (1794–1868) who was the fourth of six Archbishops (Serving from 1862–1868) that used Addington Palace as his grand summer residence. his most noted accolade was inaugurating and presiding over the first Lambeth Conference, where all the bishops of the Anglican Communion meet to discuss matters, a tradition which has been kept until this day.
