PBIS
   PBIS Leadership Network (PLN): This Regional PBIS Leadership Network is intended for building and
   district leaders who are already implementing PBIS. Participants are to attend quarterly network
   meetings to support the implementation and sustainability of the PBIS Framework. The agenda will
   include time to network with other schools, ask questions and gain more information/resources about
   PBIS in grade-band specific meetings.

 PBIS Train the Trainer: This THREE DAY in-person series is offered to K-12 licensed educators to be
 certified as a train-the-trainer of Positive Based Intervention. PBIS is a framework, system, or approach for
 assisting school personnel in adopting and organizing evidence-based behavioral interventions into an
 integrated continuum that enhances academic and social behavior outcomes for all students. PBIS is not a
 packaged curriculum, scripted intervention, or manualized strategy. PBIS is a prevention-oriented way for
 school personnel to (a) organize evidence-based practices, (b) improve their implementation of those
 practices, and (C) academic and social behavior outcomes for students. PBIS supports the success of all
 students.

PBIS
   PBIS Tier II: PBIS Tier II training is for schools that have implemented School-Wide PBIS Tier I and
   through the use of data have identified small groups of students who are not responding to the Tier I
   strategies. Tier II training will consist of the following: Completing a Functional Behavior Assessment,
   exploring various Tier II strategies including Check-in/Check-out, the Check & Connect Student
   Engagement Model, Social Skills Intervention Groups, Academic Instructional Groups, as well as other
   research-based strategies proven effective for students with persistent behavioral challenges.

  educational leadership, current best practices from our region, and networking opportunities.

    Emergent Literacy Birth to Age 5-Laying the Foundation for Literacy Success: Emergent
    Literacy is a child's knowledge of reading and writing skills before they learn how to read and
    write words. This three-part series focuses on the research that supports learning literacy
    begins at a very early age. Part 1-Introduction to Emergent Literacy & Teaching Early
    Phonological Awareness; Part 2-Developing Oral Language and Vocabulary for Emergent

    How to Create and Deliver Specially Designed Instruction for the Inclusive Classroom:
    Inclusion can work! However, for inclusion to be successful, special education teachers must
    bring specially designed instruction (SDI) into the classroom. In this professional
    development you will gain practical ideas for creating and implementing SDI, for engaging
    students with more complex needs, and for accommodating and modifying. This virtual
    session will be packed with research-based strategies that enhance student learning and can

    teaching models for mixed-ability classrooms, practical ways for defining roles, planning for
    and providing instruction based on high standards, and tips for maximizing the value of each

    roll-out plan, guidelines for administrators, coaching and scheduling tips, walk-through tools

   individuals needing a refresher, following the completion of the online certification modules.

   questions. Any updates released by The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) regarding the AASCD

    Secondary Transition Network: The purpose of this network is to discuss ways various entities
    can work together to improve outcomes for students as they transition from school into
    adulthood. This time will be spent discussing needs of professional learning in districts,
    collaborating around what has worked in areas of the region, receiving updates from the Ohio
    Department of Education (ODE) and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), and
    investigating evidence-based practices in the area of secondary transition.

  a guide to becoming empowered by evidence. The Elementary and Secondary Education Act
  defines evidence-based as an activity, strategy, or intervention that:

     2. Demonstrates high-quality research finds or positive evaluation that such activity, strategy, or

    InspirEd Virtual Learning-OCALI: Our vision for this virtual learning series is to fill a need and help
    educators, administrators, and families find the information and resources they need to support
    learning and successful outcomes for their students or children during a very unique time of
    learning: Educators who support students with disabilities in their continued/newer role as remote
    learning instructors, Administrators and other school leaders as they guide and support educators,
    and Families in their new role as at-home instructors.
    The learning series consists of "Zoomcast" sessions or recorded, facilitated conversations that are
    approximately 30 minutes each. All content is focused on increasing successful engagement of
    diverse learners in a remote/virtual instructional environment, linking the users with appropriate
    resources and tools. Learners have the ability to earn a professional development certificate by
    completing a survey at the end of each learning session.

  Addressing Challenging Behavior Webinar Series- OCALI: Every person is unique and has different
  strengths, talents, and skills. When addressing challenging behaviors for people with complex
  needs, it is essential to individualize the process in order to develop effective intervention plans.
  This 14-part webinar series is based in positive behavior intervention supports (PBIS), functional
  behavior assessment (FBA), and behavior intervention planning. The series explores the belief
  system and a systematic process essential to understanding and addressing challenging behavior.
  It also includes team-based strategies that focus on matching evidence-based interventions to a
  target behavior, after in-depth exploration of the individual's strengths and challenges.

  This series ideal for anyone supporting school-age children, adolescents, and adults. Inclusive of
  the components of PBIS, this training can support educational teams working with students in
