YOUTH PROGRAMS MASTER SPORTS* Summer Basketball League The University City Recreational Youth Basketball league offers two seasons. Winter League (December through February) for boys and girls 1-8. In the Summer (June - August) the league is offered for boys and girls grades 1-8. All practices will take place in University City at Standley Park. Games are played at the Standley Park Community Center Gym, or may also be played at Carmel Valley Rec. Center depending on sizes of each division. SPECIAL EVENTS UC Celebration Monday July 4th, 2022. Come and Celebrate with Family, Vendors Booths, Food, Great Music, Jumpies, and More! Good Family Fun! University City Parks Council & University City Community Association This group of concerned residents volunteer their time to advise Parks and Recreation staff on matters related to park and recreation programs, community events, equipment and improvements. They plan, promote, publicize and help provide recreation opportunities for citizens in the University City Community. Groups, clubs and leagues using the parks are encouraged to send a representative to the meetings. Meetings are open to the public. The Standley Park Recreation Advisory Group meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Standley Recreation Center. Any adult who is interested in making an impact or has concerns about the neighborhood parks and recreation center should attend the meetings. 10
