NZSL INTERPRETED TOUR — For International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) we are offering the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community a free sign language interpreted tour. Led by facility staff and an interpreter, we will guide you through the homestead, dig into an archive of historic photographs, and wander through the beautiful gardens. The tour covers a brief history of the Nathan family, the heritage building, and what the homestead now offers as a community arts centre in Manurewa. SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME — Nathan Homestead offers fun, active, creative, and educational school holiday programmes for children aged 5 - 14 years. For over 20 years our programme has provided arts-focused learning, situated within the grounds of David Nathan Park and Nathan Homestead. Full of adventure, creativity, and discovery, your child is sure to be active and happy in a safe and well-supported environment. The programme includes trips, specialised theme days and mix ‘n’ match days packed full of cooking, science, sports and take-home arts and crafts activities. Specialist workshops in visual and performing arts will inspire young artists aged 8 to 14 years, providing high-quality arts tutoring on sustained projects — from painting and sculpture to drama and dance.
