MESSAGE FROM THE TOWN OF PITTSFORD SUPERVISOR AND RECREATION DIRECTOR Spring means our event season will soon be here. We’ve been planning all winter for another season of Town community events. There’s plenty going on – be sure to save the dates! Our Paddle and Pour Art & Music Festival is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (May 23) and our Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 25. We’ve got a great Summer Concert Series in store, held Friday nights along the canal June 12 – August 28 (no concert July 3). Our Concerts for Kids July 8 and August 5, and our Family Outdoor Movie Nights July 16 and 30 and August 13 will round out the summer with more family fun. Residents will receive our Special Events mailer in early April and event details will be posted on the Town website as the dates near. William A. Smith Jr. Jessie R. Our second annual Seniors Sock Hop is April 7, our NEW Cinco de Mayo themed seniors lunch is May 5, and our Seniors Spring Picnic is June 2. There are plenty more opportunities to get active and healthy – adult group swimming lessons, private swim lessons for teens, yoga therapy, Qigong for health and healing, and our adult coed softball league are just a few examples. PITTSFORD RECREATION SPRING 2020 REGISTRATION FORM PRIMARY GUARDIAN FIRST AND LAST NAME SECONDARY GUARDIAN FIRST AND LAST NAME NON-RESIDENT FEE: Participants living outside of the Town of Pittsford and the Pittsford School District are required to pay a $5.00 per activity registration fee (per individual registrant). No fee is required for free programs. Programs offered are designed for residents of the Town of Pittsford and Pittsford School District. If class size allows, registrations from non-residents who have paid the non-resident fee will be accepted. Participants living outside of the Town of Pittsford and Pittsford School District may register to receive our program brochures by mail by contacting the Recreation Department. There is a $3.00 fee charged for outside mailing. REFUND POLICY: Refunds are available, unless otherwise stated in the program description. All refund requests must be submitted to the Pittsford Recreation Depart- ment. If a program is canceled, total amount will be refunded. You may withdraw up to 7 calendar days prior to the start of a program; a refund will be granted with a $5 processing fee per person/per program (certain programs may be nonrefundable or involve a portion of nonrefundable monies.) Within one week of a program’s start date, or after a program has begun, only medical refunds will be granted. A doctor’s written statement must accompany your request. Refund will be prorated based on the date of your notification to the Recreation Department. Absolutely no refunds will be granted after the program ends. REGISTRATION TIPS: Programs that do not meet the minimum number of participants are subject to cancellation. Assume you are registered in the program unless the recreation department notifies you. Please remember that some of our programs fill quickly so please register early. RELEASE: As part of my registration, or as a parent on behalf of a minor child, I recognize that programs involving physical activity have inherent risks of injury and/ or damage and I assume any and all such risks, as well as the responsibility to be fully aware of the inherent risks associated with any program for which I register, before I begin participation. The Town and its employees will not be liable for injury or damage that occurs as a result of such risks and I waive and release the Town and its employees from any such liability. Monday, May 25 – Steps off 10am Trucks & more galore! Join the Pittsford Community at this year’s Memorial Day Parade. Saturday, May 9 Watch the parade as it steps off Sutherland Street and progresses down 10:00AM-12:00PM Jefferson Road to South Main Street. The parade concludes on Washington Pittsford Community Center Parking Lot Street at the Pittsford Cemetery. You are invited to attend a Memorial Ceremony at the Soldiers Plot immediately following the parade. Come and meet some amazing machines that Join us after the ceremony for an open house at American Legion you see working around the town! This event is free to all and registration is not required. SUMMER FUN JUNIORS Ages 3-5 Juniors 2020 Pittsford Community Center Summer Fun Juniors provides an opportunity for 3-5 year olds to become familiar with our Summer Fun program in a smaller, half-day setting. The program is full of games, outdoor play, crafts and hands-on activities. Summer Fun Juniors is ideal for 5 year olds who will be entering Pre K or Kindergarten in the fall who have yet to spend time in a half day or full day youth program. Children must be toilet trained in order to attend. If space allows you may enroll your child for both Morning and Afternoon sessions. Our Child Care Center will be offering a Lunch Bunch program to provide care during the lunch hour for an additional fee. PCC OPEN GYM PROGRAMS Drop-in Gym Schedule Drop-in Pickleball The seasonal open gym schedule is subject to change. Please call the Reg.
