incorporating the KK Hospital Obstetric Anaesthesia Symposium, which will be held on 18 – 19 August
2018 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

SARC 2018 will be the annual highlight of the Anaesthesia community calendar, and the largest local
education event in the speciality of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine. It will host more
than 300 attendees from diverse backgrounds – including local and overseas specialists from both public
and private institutions, residents, fellows, allied professionals and medical students.

SINGAPORE ANAESTHESIA REFRESHER COURSE (SARC)

The SARC is the focal point for Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine education in
Singapore. It is a biennial gathering involving more than 300 local and regional attendees from the public
and private sectors. It serves to provide a forum for exchange of ideas and continual updates amongst
members of the anaesthesia community, and a platform for improving clinical outcomes and practices
through peer-to-peer and business-to-peer interactions.

SARC encourages and facilitates a learning environment with respected members of the fraternity
sharing in their areas of expertise. This will feature lectures and discussions covering a wide range of
topics relevant to active practitioners.

KK HOSPITAL OBSTETRIC ANAESTHESIA SYMPOSIUM

KK Hospital Obstetric Anaesthesia Symposium focuses on a variety of topics with the intent of
educating on best anaesthetic practices for the management of peripartum patients, with special focus
on discussion of the cutting-edge advances made in the field of obstetric anaesthesia.

Internationally recognised speakers and local experts will form a panel of speakers sharing their vast
clinical experience and research innovations on a wide range of interesting topics.

This symposium is open to all with an interest in obstetric anaesthesia and we aim to make it both
informative and enjoyable for all attendees.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT OPPORTUNITIES
Medical education plays a key role in the quality of healthcare delivered across the globe. By providing
an educational grant in support of the educational opportunities below, you are making a vital
contribution to these efforts.

All educational grants are managed in compliance with relevant accreditation and industry compliance
criteria. In order to ensure independence of all CME-accredited elements, companies providing grants
may not influence the topic, speaker selection or any other aspect of the content or presentation. No
promotional, commercial or advertising materials may be included in the following opportunities. All
support will be disclosed to participants.

EDUCATIONAL PARTICIPATION GRANTS                                               PRICE UPON REQUEST

Companies may support SARC 2018 with an educational participation grant. Participants will have to
follow the criteria decided by SARC 2018 in order to be eligible to apply for an educational participation
grant. Winners from the grant will be contacted by the SARC 2018 Secretariat.

• All support will be acknowledged in the Industry Support and Exhibition section of the Programme
  book, on the Course website, and with signage during the event following all compliance regulations.

approval of the Course Organising Committee.

• Speakers nomination and topics selection are subjected to the approval of the Organising
  Committee.

• Permission to use the phrase: “SARC 2018” in the marketing of the symposium.

• The symposium title, schedule and programme will be displayed in/on the Course website and

• The supporting company will bear all food and beverage costs for participants attending the

• The supporting company in addition to the support fee must cover all speakers’ expenses including
  registration, accommodation and travel expenses. This also applies in the event that the speakers have
  already been invited by the SARC 2018.

SPEAKER SUPPORT                                                              SGD 5,000 / SPEAKER

Companies may support registration fees, transfer, social programme for individual faculty members. In
compliance with all CME accreditation criteria, the support will be disclosed to participants and the
industry. Supporter must not attempt to influence the content or presentation by the faculty member.

• All support will be acknowledged in the Industry Support and Exhibition section of the Programme
  book, Supporters’ Board on-site and on the Course website with a hyperlink to the Supporter’s
  homepage.

INDUSTRY-SUPPORTED PRE-COURSE WORKSHOPS                                                      SGD 5,000

We will acknowledge your generous sponsorship with the following:

• Workshop supported by “Company” on the introductory slide and on the signage at the entrance of the
  workshop room.

PLUS:
- Events will be advertised in Programme book with acknowledgment of sponsoring company.

Supporter will produce and provide the bags, which will be branded with the event branding and logo.

• Support will be recognised on the bag with “Supported by…” and a company logo.

The bags will have to be approved by the Course Organiser. Supporter can also provide funding instead

The lanyards will have to be approved by the Course Organiser. Supporter can also provide funding

A4-sized leaflets into the Course bags. The advertisers are to provide the leaflets. The Organising
Committee reserves the right to approve the contents and format of the A4 leaflet. It should be in

ALLOCATION OF EXHIBITION SPACE
Space allocation will be made on a “first come, first served" basis. A completed Exhibition Booking Form
should be faxed / emailed to ensure reservation of a desired location. Upon receipt of the Exhibition
Booking Form, space will be confirmed and an invoice will be mailed. Space allocations will be made in
the order in which application forms with payment are received.

EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION
All Exhibitors are required to be registered and will receive a badge displaying the exhibiting company
name. Five exhibitor badges will be given for the first 9 sqm booked and one additional for each 9 sqm
thereafter.

Any additional exhibitors will be charged an Exhibitor registration fee (price available on request).
Companies can purchase a maximum number of Exhibitor registrations as follows:

Booths of up to 60 sqm – 15 Exhibitor registrations

Booths larger than 60 sqm – 25 Exhibitor registrations

Exhibitor registrations allow access to the exhibition area only and shall be used by company staff only.
An Exhibitor Registration Form will be included in the Exhibitors’ Technical Manual.
