However, if this is not possible, our organization will safeguard the player at all times. What is the ratio players/staff? Training sessions never exceed 15 players for 1 coach. What is training like? All training sessions are 90-minutes long and conducted by highly qualified coaches of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Valencia CF, and FC Barcelona academy coaches. During the week, players will gain a deep understanding of the methodology, philosophy, and style of play of Spain’s top clubs. Where do training sessions take place? Training sessions take place at the same facilities where the academy teams of these clubs train (Ciudad Real Madrid, Ciudad Deportiva Atletico de Madrid, Ciudad Deportiva Paterna, and Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper). All are facilities of the highest quality. How are friendly games arranged? Friendly games are all played against Spanish opposition in top quality fields, usually artificial turf (3G). The format of the games is usually 2 halves of 30-minutes each to avoid players getting exhausted from an intense week of training, games, and activities. After you register, we will send an email to pre-purchase the full board meal plan.
FAQs Do I have to book my own flights? Yes. Each player or family is responsible to book their own flight. We will later ask for your flight information so we can arrange transfer from the airport to the hotel on the first day of the tour and vice-versa on the last day. Transfers will only be provided from Madrid Barajas International Airport (MAD) on Saturday 03/14/2020, and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) on Sunday 03/22/2020. We also recommend your flight to land in Madrid early or mid-morning to avoid missing any activities on the first day, such as a La Liga game. What are the training/game and travel uniform? GSI provides all players with a travel and a training/game uniform. The travel uniform includes a sweatshirt and a raincoat that needs to be worn while traveling to training, friendlies, or activities. The training uniform includes long socks, shorts, and jersey, that will be worn during training and friendlies. How does rooming work?
