From the perspective of social psychology, this paper attributes the popularity of these words to collective behaviors. The social identity model of collective action (SIMCA) was introduced to analyze the reasons for the popularity of Chinese sharp words from three dimensions, namely, collective identity, collective mood and collective efficacy. On this basis, the author summed up the collective psychological law in the spread and popularity of sharp words. The research provides new insights into the application of psychological theory in linguistic analysis.
