4 MONDAY HISTORICAL SEEFELD A historical walk through Seefeld (12.12.16 - 20.3.17) Discover Seefeld from a historical perspective and learn about the Seefeld of today during an interesting winter walk through the holiday village. Together with state-certified tourist guide Alexandra Glatzl, explore the Gothic Parish Church of St. Oswald, the Hotel Klosterbräu and Seefeld’s landmark, the See- kirchl church (without indoor visit). Dogs are welcome. The tour is carried out in German and English, and in Italian if requested in advance. When: 10:00 am Duration: 2 hrs. 5 SEARCHING FOR TRACES TIP FOR CHILDREN Animal tracks and traces in the snow (5.12.16 - 20.3.17) Our Nature Park Guide recounts some fascinating animal facts and stories, and lets you in on the secrets of how to read tracks. Starting from the ‘Länd’ car park, we follow the Isar track into the valley keeping our eyes peeled for tracks and traces that reveal the presence of various animals. Recommended age group: 7-14 years. This activity is conducted in German only. When: 10:00 am Duration: approx. 5 hrs. 6 WALK THROUGH THE SNOW BENEATH A STARRY SKY Guided evening walk (5.12.16 - 20.3.17) Enjoy an enchanting walk through the snow-covered landscape under the starry skies, expertly guided by Dr. Angelika Neuner (Spacklerhof farm, Mösern), and gain fascinating insights into this beautiful spot on earth. A bit of history, countless stories and lots of little an- ecdotes accompany you along this walk through Mösern. Enjoy an entrancing evening. 7 TUESDAY THROUGH THE SNOW-COVERED WINTER FOREST An enchanting experience (27.12.16 - 21.3.17) Nature guide Hans Bantl takes you to some of the most beautiful, untouched spots in the Leutaschtal valley, e.g. Katzenloch or the Gaistal valley. Hans affords you a deeper insight into the uniqueness of our Leutaschtal valley – a breathtaking hiking area at all times of the year – and offers valuable tips and suggestions to ensure you enjoy a truly unforgettable holiday. Between 8:00 and 9:00 am on the Gschwandtkopf slopes. Breakfast is available at the ‘Sonnenalm’ mountain hut (open from 9:00 am). Breakfast costs and passes for use of the lifts after 9:00 am are not included. 16 FR IDAY TEST YOUR MARKSMANSHIP Biathlon taster lesson in Seefeld (9.12.16 - 24.3.17) Experience first-hand the fascination of biathlon! This Nordic sport combines the disciplines of cross-country skiing and shooting. While cross-country skiing requires stamina and endurance, shooting demands concentrati- on and precision - and biathlon offers the best of both worlds! Adult participants (aged 15 and over) shoot using original biathlon small-bore rifles, while children (min. height 1.40 m) use biathlon air rifles. This taster lesson is offered in German and English. When: 2:00 pm Duration: approx. 1 hr. 17 A SHAGGY COW STORY Encounters of the ‘hairy kind’ in Leutasch (9.12.16 - 24.3.17) Find out all there is to know about the Highland cattle born and bred in the mountains of Tyrol. Feel free to grab a pitch fork and help out with the fee- ding too! Afterwards, as a little thank you, enjoy a steaming mug of aromatic hay flower tea. 18 ON YOUR PISTES, GET SET, GO! Nigh skiing in Seefeld (16.12.16 - approx. 3.3.17, dependent on snow conditions) During the evening too, you have the chance to enjoy the immaculately groomed slopes of the Rosshütte ski area to yourself for an hour before they officially open, between 5:30 and 6:30 pm!The 6-seater ‘Hochanger’ chairlift with heated seats and bubble hoods is in ope- ration until 9:30 pm and/or you can enjoy après-ski fun in the ‘Skialm’ hut at the bottom station. (Costs for food, drink and passes for use of the chairlift after 6:30 pm are not included). Also NEW: At 9:15 pm the ‘Nightliner’ bus transports all skiers free of charge to Seefeld village centre, before continuing with those guests staying in Leutasch to Wei- dach-Oberleutasch.
