SHOW HALL IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ENTRANTS IN SHOW HALL CATEGORIES: When you get your Confirmation Email, open the attachment and print your Exhibit Cards. Cut them in half. Keep the Exhibitor's card side yourself, (to claim prize money) and attach the Exhibit Card side to your exhibit when you bring it in to the Show Hall at the scheduled time. For those without email addresses, the Exhibit Cards will be supplied by the Show. Exhibit Cards are only emailed to entrants in Cookery, Horticulture, Market Garden, Art, Photography and Craft. Conditions of Entry Important Information: Please read instructions in each class carefully, in particular size and presentation requirements. • Show Hall entries close Friday, 1 May unless stated otherwise in specific sections. • Completed entry forms can be lodged and paid for online - www.fredspassruralshow.com.au. Follow the online links through to the shopping cart. Membership fees can also be paid once you have entered your online entries and before you check-out. • Completed entry forms with cash or cheque payment can be hand delivered to the Show Office, and the Nelson, Goyder and Daly Electorate Offices between 9 am – 5 pm from 2 March to 1 May. • One exhibitor per paper entry form only. • Entry Fees: Non-Members $2.40; Members, Disability/Carer/Aged Pensioners, Senior Card Holders, Juniors (under 17 years) $1.20 • No late entries will be accepted. • Dates for exhibits to be delivered to Show Hall can be found in each section, and below. Both Adult and Junior entries are received on the same day. • If a class has size restrictions, any over-sized exhibit will not be judged • The Chief Steward may place in the correct class exhibits considered to be entered in a wrong class. • Exhibits and prize cards can be removed between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday 17 May, but must not be removed before 3 pm. The Show Hall will be open from 10.30 and - 3 pm on Monday 18 May for collection of entries. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to arrange a time for collection of exhibits and/or prize money at another time if these times are not suitable. Exhibits not removed by 31 May will be disposed of by the committee. 3
• Prize money and prizes will be distributed from the Show Office during the Show on: Saturday from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm; 3.30 pm to 5 pm Sunday from 10 am to 11.30 am; 1 pm to 3 pm. LIVESTOCK INFORMATION FOR ALL CLASSES Conditions of Entry • Entry forms can be lodged and paid for online at www.fredspassruralshow.com.au or po sted direct to Freds Pass Rural Show, PO Box 639 Coolalinga NT 0839. Completed entry forms with cash or cheque payment can be hand delivered to the Show Office, and the Nelson, Goyder and Daly Electorate Offices between 9 am – 5 pm from 2 March to 1 May, with cash, cheque or money. All animals must be healthy and free from disease. Any animal that is, in the opinion of the Livestock Manager/steward not healthy or is diseased is to be removed immediately from the showgrounds. • Livestock Movement Biosecurity Requirements - Persons bringing any of the following animals to the Freds Pass Rural Show, either for competition, demonstration or display, must meet the requirements of the Livestock Act and Livestock Regulations: • cattle and buffalo • horses, including mules and donkeys • sheep, goats and pigs • alpacas, camels and llamas • deer • bees • crocodiles • there are no restrictions on moving poultry or pigeons. • All cattle, goats, pigs, deer and sheep entering the showgrounds must be identified with a NLIS device and must be accompanied by a complete waybill which includes the property identification (PIC) of the property of origin. • The Steward will issue waybills for these animals leaving the Showgrounds. • The Freds Pass Rural Show will complete the upload of movement records to the NLIS Database. • Livestock returning interstate or below the tick line must have a clean Inspection and supervised treatment. • For further information contact The Regional Livestock Biosecurity Officer Rob Wait on 08 8999 2034 /0401 115 802. Pets Special Regulations • Livestock Movement Biosecurity Requirements as outlined in the Livestock Conditions of Entry apply to some farmyard pets eg cattle, goats, sheep, pigs. • Exhibitors will be notified prior to the show if for any reason the exhibit is not accepted. • Exhibitors are required to provide their own secure cages, water and food containers. Stock returning interstate or below the tick line must be supervised with certificate. • Stud stock will be judged in an open ring starting 9 am Saturday 16 May. Led stock over 12 months old must have a nose ring or clip for safety requirements. • Other exhibits will be judged in their pens following the stud cattle judging. • The Cattle Judging Competition will be judged prior to and during the cattle judging. • The Cattle Handlers Competition will be judged prior to and during the stud cattle judging and will include aspects of care and preparation of the stock. • A new class will not be made for three or more of any breed without a minimum of two exhibitors in that class, or by the Judges or Chief Steward's consent. • Stud stock should be available for the Grand Parade at 2 pm Saturday. SPECIAL REGULATIONS PAVILION HOURS: OPEN at 9am Saturday and Sunday. CLOSE at 6.30pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday JUDGING: Judging of all birds will be conducted in accordance with the Australian Poultry Standards. DELIVERY: All poultry must be delivered to Stewards, Poultry Pavilion, Freds Pass Showgrounds, between 1pm and 6pm on Thursday 14 May and must remain for the duration of the Show. COLLECTION: All Poultry must be removed between 3pm and 6pm on Sunday 17 May. ENTRIES: PLEASE STATE VARIETY AND COLOUR ON ENTRY FORM. It is anticipated that all entries received will be accepted. However, the Committee reserves the right to reduce the number of entries which may be accepted in any class or classes should there be insufficient penning space to accommodate all entries. Leg bands may be worn but must not identify the owner or breeder. HEALTH: Exhibitors are requested to ensure their exhibits are in good health and condition when delivered to the Poultry Pavilion. Exhibits showing signs of sickness, disease, vermin or poor condition will be refused acceptance. Exhibitors are requested to ensure that exhibits are clean by examining their birds for lice and vermin prior to delivery. Properly prepared, clean exhibits in good show condition bring credit to the exhibitors and the show. Please help to maintain a high standard. CLASSES: No exhibit may be entered in more than one class. Should an exhibit be incorrectly entered in more than one class, such exhibit shall be deemed ineligible to compete in any class other than the first one in which its name or particulars appear in this Schedule. Birds entered in Breeding Classes are not eligible for individual awards of any nature. A new class may be made for three or more of any breed or variety exhibited, with a minimum two exhibitors in that class or at the Chief Steward’s discretion. In any other variety classes (AOV) please state variety & colour on entry form. In any class when there is more than one colour in the breed the colour should be advised on the entry form. HANDLING: Birds are not to be handled after 8am on day of judging. FOOD: Food containers to be removed where necessary by Steward prior to judging. Standard food only in pens prior and during judging. Selected feed can be replaced after judging. Only Stewards to feed and water birds at all times. EGGS: Eggs laid during show will be disposed of unless special arrangements are made with the chief steward.
