Boys and girls in FFA, 4-H, or other youth groups eligible for Junior Fair are not permitted to exhibit in Open Class and Junior Fair. *Other youth 3rd grade or above may show in open class but not when eligible for Junior Fair. Due Date For All Entries: May 31st of calendar year. Any entries whether entered online or postmarked must be entered on or before May 31st NEW- ALL ENTRIES OVER TEN MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE! You may still pay by check! If you need a computer contact the office to come and use ours. 2022 Sauk County Agricultural Society Open Class Fair Book Direct ALL questions to info@saukcountyfair.com 608-356-8707 Directions for Online Entry Online entries will be accepted starting May 1st of year. 1. Go to the Sauk County Fair website-Open Class Fair – Sauk County Fair, Baraboo, Wisconsin 2. On the FAIR ENTRY OPEN CLASS FAIR ONLINE ENTRY. This will take you to the Fair Entry online entry site for Sauk County Open Class. 3. Create an account. Choose your entries, pay appropriate fees, or send a check for entries. Choose the correct fee schedule depending on the number of entries you have. Choose the fee for the correct range of entries (ie: 1-10, 11-20 etc.) Incorrect fees may cause your entry to be denied. There is not a convenience fee charge for online entries per exhibitor. 4. After your entry is submitted you will receive an email confirmation. For help or questions send an email to info@saukcountyfair.com ABSOLUTELY NO Late entries will be accepted after May 31st, 2022. Mail in Entries: 1.**All open class exhibitors should add a service fee of $5.00 for mail in entries. There is no service charge for online entries. All open class exhibitors, entering by mail, must fill out an entry form for entries submitted by mail, at a cost of $5 per form of 10 entries or less. An exhibitor may make up to 10 entries for each $5 fee. 2. ** Reminder ** Each Sauk County Ag Society Member may no longer enter exhibits for no charge. * For each 10 entries or less, whether entered on the entry form, or online requires the $5.00 entry fee. 3. Find form on the back cover of this booklet. Enclose appropriate entry fees including $5.00 service fee with all mailed in entries. 4. When returning your completed exhibitor entry form, be careful to print plainly. 5. Each item entered must be fully listed on the ticket, including department number, class number, and entry number of the individual exhibit and description of item. 6. All entry forms must be signed. **Department 64 - Nursing Home and CBRF classes ARE EXEMPT FROM FEES There are no fees for this department and no premiums are paid, ribbons only. No premium awarded if an item is not listed in this book or on your entry form. No premium on inferior exhibits. 2. Items winning premiums at previous Sauk County fairs are not eligible this year. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER ITEMS FROM PREVIOUS FAIRS! THIS IS AGAINST THE RULES. We have taken pictures of previous years items and if you are found entering previously entered items, you will be disqualified from entering for the current year and the next consecutive year. 3. Each exhibitor may enter only ONE item per Entry Number. 4. The exhibitor may not compete against themselves in an entry number. 5. All entries are straight judged with placing 1st through 4th. 6 .NO exhibits can be removed before Sunday at 4 p.m. without consent of Fair officials. ANY VIOLATION WILL BE CAUSE FOR WITHHOLDING PREMIUMS. 7. Effective 2015 – ALL EXHIBITORS MUST BE 3RD GRADE OR OLDER, AS OF TIME OF ENTRY TO EXHIBIT IN OPEN CLASS. 8. Animal entries are only allowed for Junior Fair Participants. 9. All entries will be judged on Wednesday, with exception of wine & beer ENTRY DAY IS TUESDAY OF FAIR *Bring your entries to the fair on Tuesday! 9am-6pm **If you need to drive exhibits next to the building, arrive between 9am-2pm. **After 2pm, due to safety concerns, you will need to park in the lot and carry all items in. **Make arrangements with the office if assistance is needed. **Buildings will be ready for exhibits at 9 a.m. **All exhibits must be in place by 6 p.m. The department or building superintendent will open the building at 9 a.m. and will be on duty throughout the day. Someone will supervise buildings whenever they are open to the public. WEDNESDAY IS JUDGING DAY- All entries will be judged on Wednesday of fair week unless otherwise noted. Dogs will NOT be allowed on the grounds or in the barns, except for service dogs and they must register in the office ( to avoid phone calls from other patrons) 2. Season parking tickets may be purchased at the gate or Fair office for $20. 3. Sauk County Ag Society Members can pick up a season parking permit at the Secretary’s office on Monday or Tuesday of the fair or at the Info Booth during the fair. 4. Any day after Tuesday afternoon, the permit must be purchased at the gate and reimbursements will be made at the office.
