Also on the card is the King Edward VII Stakes, colloquially called the ‘Ascot Derby,’ as its conditions mirror those of the Epsom Classic. Saturday (Day 5): Included in tour (Royal Enclosure) The final day of the Royal Meeting always provides a dramatic climax and features one of the world’s most important and international races, the Golden Jubilee Stakes, - the second British leg of the Global Sprint Challenge. The Aussie sprinters who run on Day 1 often reappear in the Golden Jubilee. Royal Ascot Opening Day – Carriages Restaurant Watch a roaring crowd come to life as the horses thunder towards you down the final straight. Set apart from the Grandstand, Carriages, named after the famous landaus that brings Her Majesty The Queen to Royal Ascot each day - is a light and airy restaurant housed on the top floor of a luxury marquee. It has a spectacular balcony giving you a head on view of the Winning Post and final straight. The Ontrack group will enjoy a 4 course luncheon, selection of fine wines and liqueurs. Complimentary bar throughout the day including Champagne. Deluxe Royal Ascot afternoon tea also included. Royal Ascot Ladies Day – Old Paddock Restaurant Set within the original racecourse building, the Old Paddock offers a relaxed environment away from the masses and a unique position overlooking the horses and saddling boxes in the Pre-Parade Ring. The Ontrack group will enjoy a 3 course luncheon, complimentary bar, beers, selected wine and soft drinks. Royal Ascot afternoon tea also included. Royal Ascot Final Day – Trackside Restaurant (Royal Enclosure) The Trackside Restaurant located on the ground level of the Grandstand mixes superb views of the racing with easy access to the Royal Enclosure Gardens and The Parade Ring. Always one of the most popular restaurants, the Trackside sits adjacent to the home straight situated in a fabulous location just past the winning post enabling guests to feel the rush of the horses as they pass by the magnificent private balcony. High Tea – “The Ritz” Afternoon tea in London at The Ritz is an institution in itself. Served in the spectacular Palm Court, High Tea at The Ritz features a choice of several varieties of tea and a delicious menu combine to make for an unforgettable afternoon.
Royal Ascot 2019 Newmarket Stud Tour Newmarket is the home to many of Britain’s leading thoroughbred farms. These are headed by Sheikh Mohammed’s Dalham Hall Stud (home of Brazen Beau), the historic English National Stud, Khalid Abdullah’s Banstead Manor Stud (home of Frankel) and Cheveley Park Stud. The Ontrack group will take in a selection of local studs during our stay in Newmarket together with expert local guides. Newmarket Stable Visit Aside from many leading stud farms, Newmarket is of course famed as the location for the very best racing stables in Europe. Leading trainers who prepare their teams at Newmarket include Sir Michael Stoute, Sir Mark Prescott, Luca Cumani, Clive Brittain, Ed Dunlop and James Fanshawe. Our tour will take in the famous training grounds at Newmarket including ‘Warren Hill’. The Ontrack group will visit a selection of local training establishments together with expert local guides. National Horse Racing Museum Tour Located in the heart of horse country at Newmarket, the National Horse Racing Museum is a must see for any racing enthusiast who visits London. The museum features 5 different galleries, whilst the energetic can try their riding skills on the horse simulator. The Ontrack group will take in a visit to the National Horse Racing Museum during our stay in Newmarket. Welcome Dinner – “The Jockey Club Rooms” (circa 1668) (Newmarket) The Jockey Club Rooms have been at the heart of British horse racing for over 250 years. As a private members club, few people have stepped inside and seen the magnificent interiors, which house an unparalleled collection of British racing memorabilia. The Ontrack group will enjoy a three course meal and beverages. The group will be joined during the evening by prominent trainers, jockeys, owners and bloodstock agents. Farewell Dinner – Aqua Shard (London) With breath-taking views of the London skyline from the 31st floor of The Shard, the glass encased private dining room at Aqua Shard is a spectacular location for the Ontrack group farewell dinner.
