United States Hunter Jumper Association Membership USHJA Outreach Membership is not required but, this is a free membership at the Outreach level! You can earn points for all USHJA Outreach divisions. To Join please visit www.ushja.org. Our show office staff is happy to help you with setting up your membership during our shows. Oregon Hunter Jumper Association Membership Membership is not required unless you are competing in the OHJA Medals. To accumulate points you must be registered before the start of the show. Any of our office staff is happy to help. For more information on membership please visit www.oregonhunterjumper.org COVID Rules We will be adhering to the current Oregon state mandates requiring masking at all times except when riding and minimum 6’ social distancing while on the show grounds. Sanitizing stations are provided at each arena, by the office, restrooms and in the stabling area. We request that each exhibitor, trainer, groom and family member (“attendee”) self-monitor for temperature 24 hours before, during and 24 hours after the show. Please notify the show manager in the event that an attendee exhibits any symptoms. Please limit spectators to a parent of junior rider and observe the show and go policy. General Information & Rules 1. Boots and ASTM certified helmets required for all riders. 2. Outdoor arena is 100’ x 200’ with sand and rubber footing. 3. Indoor arena is 80’ x 200’ with sand and rubber footing. 4. Management reserves the right to combine/modify classes as needed. 5. One Horse/One Rider combination for point tallies. 6. Must compete in all classes of division to be eligible for division awards. 7. Must have a minimum of 3 participants in classes for points to count. 8. Beginner Rider in first year of showing. 9. No Dogs and No Stallions!!!! 10. Ponies may be ridden by adults in all classes except Pony Jumpers and Children’s Hunter Ponies. 11. Fees refunded only with vet certificate and refunded 1 week after show. 12. Entries must be postmarked one week prior to show to avoid $25 post entry fee. 13. Schooling available Friday 3pm – 8pm, Saturday 7am – 8am, and between class height changes for class exhibitors only. 14. Stalls are available on a first come, first serve basis with deposit required. Stabling will be available Friday afternoon after 3pm.

USHJA Outreach Program: Points will be accumulated according to Zone, within the Competition Year dating December 1st to November 30th of the following year. Rider, horse and trainer requirements: 1. Horses competing in the USHJA Outreach Program will accrue points only if they are registered with USHJA. 2. Participation as a rider or as the owner of a horse will be tracked based on place of residence within a USHJA Zone. 3. A rider’s home USHJA Zone will be determined by their place of residence during the current competition year (December 1 – November 30). If a rider changes Zones, because of school, work, or other, rider must request permission change his home Zone in writing to the USHJA for competition points to follow the rider from one Zone to the next. 4. A Junior Rider has not reached his/her 18th birthday as of December 1st of the previous year. 5. 5. An Adult Amateur is no longer eligible as a Junior Rider and is an Amateur according to USEF Rules (GR128). Rider: 1. Riders must be an Outreach member (or higher) on or before the first day of competition to accrue rider points. Membership is free. 2. At least three entries must complete the class for points to count. 3. Points awarded: 1st place – 10 points 2nd place – 6 points 3rd place – 4 points 4th place – 2 points 5th place – 1 point 6th place – 1⁄2 point Horse: 1. Horses must be registered with USHJA for points to be tracked. Otherwise, horses are not required to be registered with USHJA or be microchipped to compete in USHJA Outreach classes. Horse Registration is $20 for an Annual Recording, or $75 for a Lifetime Recording. 2. At least three entries must complete the class for points to count. 3. Points awarded: 1st place – 10 points 2nd place – 6 points 3rd place – 4 points 4th place – 2 points 5th place – 1 point 6th place – 1⁄2 point Trainer: Trainers of riders participating in the USHJA Outreach Program wishing to be recognized for year- end awards and recognition must be a USHJA Outreach member or higher on or before the first day of competition. Outreach Membership is free Outreach Program Rewards and Awards: Rewards and awards are based on rider or horse participation across any USHJA Outreach classes. A rider or a horse may accumulate points throughout any or all of the classes, allowing for participation across the many facets of the hunter, jumper and equitation competitions. Rewards: 1. Rewards will be given by USHJA Zone. 2. Rewards for competing in any USHJA Outreach Class (Hunter, Equitation, Jumper) will be based on total points earned as follows: 1. Bronze Level: riders or horses must earn at least 50-74 points during the competition year. 2. Silver Level: riders or horses must earn at least 75-99 points during the competition year. 3. Gold Level: riders or horses must earn at least 100 points during the competition year.
--Foundation Medal-- Specifications: Fence height 2’0” – 2’3”. May include cross rails. No oxers, in and outs, or combinations. Open to junior and amateur riders. Riders may not cross enter into any class at the same show with a fence height above 2’3”. At the judge’s discretion, the top scoring riders may be brought back to test on the flat (not over fences) to determine final placings. For points to count in any class, a minimum of three (3) exhibitors must compete in the class. Show management is encouraged to split entries into an Adult division and a Children’s division if there are three or more entrants in each age group. Regardless of the number of exhibitors beyond three (3) in a class, riders will accumulate points as follows: 1st–10 2nd–6 3rd–4 4th–3 5th–2. OHJA ribbons will be awarded through sixth place. First place will receive an award medal. *The Foundation Medal is not currently a “medal class” as that term is defined in the OHJA Bylaws and Rulebook and is not eligible for year-end championship awards. Members who earn at least twenty-five (25) points in OHJA Foundation Medal classes during the show year will earn an OHJA Foundation Medal year-end awards ribbon, based on the above points system, to be presented at the Year-End Awards Banquet.

I AGREE that Rolling Rock Farm, LLC as used herein includes Competition Management, as well as all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, and volunteers. I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, handler, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent of guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve inherit dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including but not limited to broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death. Oregon Hunter Jumper Association Release By entering this competition (“Competition”), organized and/or managed by Rolling Rock Farm, LLC (“Competition Management”) and for which points will be tracked by the Oregon Hunter Jumper Association (“OHJA”) and United States Hunter Jumper Association (“USHJA”) and signing this entry blank, and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees, and agents, I AGREE that I am subject to, and agree to be bound by, the Bylaws and Rules of the OHJA and USHJA. I AGREE to release and hold harmless the OHJA, USHJA, and Competition Management and their respective officers, directors, members, representatives, employees, and agents for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. OHJA AND USHJA RELEASE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER, AND INDEMNIFICATION: This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. This agreement of release includes, but is not limited to, Harm that arises or results, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the Released Parties, and excludes Harm that arises or results, directly or indirectly, from the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of the Released Parties; (7) I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the Released Parties and to hold each of them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or Horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or Horse while at the premises hosting the Competition. I AGREE that this promise of indemnity includes attorneys' fees and costs incurred by the Released Parties in defending against any claims by me, or my personal representative, guardian, or heirs; (8) I ACKNOWLEDGE that no protective or safety equipment or device, including but not limited to riding helmets and breakaway jump cups/pins, can guard against or prevent all injuries or Harm; (9) I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching, and abilities to safely participate in this Competition with Horse; (10) I intend this agreement to be as broad and inclusive as permitted under Oregon law.
