Objectives p This document has been prepared to assist organizers of equestrian competitions in Quebec in holding safe competitions that comply with the directives of the Direction de la santé publique du Québec. p Due to the evolving nature of the current pandemic, updates to this tool will be prepared and distributed as needed. General informations Vaccine passport is mandatory for events with 50 participants or more or with at least one indoor area for participants, accompanying persons and spectators of 13 years of age or older. It is not mandatory for pro- fessional or employees when exercising their duties. It is not mandatory for professional or employees when exercising their duties. The competition organizer must establish a vaccine passport verification system using the VaxiCode Verif application. The organization of competitions is authorized in green zones according to the following conditions: WITHOUT Attestation du promoteur p Indoor competition: Authorized − Number of participants and parent / guardian1: 25 − Number of spectators / accompanying persons2: 25 − Competition staff (secretary, officials, etc.): no limit p Outdoor competition: Authorized − Number of participants and parent / guardian: 50 − Number of spectators / accompanying persons: 50 − Competition staff (secretary, officials, etc.): no 1 Parent / authorized guardian: the parent of a child under 10 years old or the companion of a person with a disability. These people must be counted in the total number of participants. 3 2 Accompagying persons: coach, groom, etc.

Sanitary Guidelines for All 1 p Respect physical distancing of 2m when moving or when people or spectators are not seated; p Wash your hands frequently; p Respect respiratory etiquette; p Wearing a mask or face covering is mandatory for all persons 10 years of age and over when the activity tales place indoors, except for participants on horseback. p Do not come to the competition if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, if you have COVID-19 or if you have been in close contact with a symptomatic person or a person placed in isolation due to COVID-19. Work Team p Recruit enough people to ensure the smooth running of the competition; p Inform team members that they cannot be present on the site if they have symptoms and they will have to leave if they are already on the premises; p Plan cleaning schedules (eating areas, bathrooms, doors, barriers, material); p Limit the sharing and manipulation of material and plan for cleaning between each team (Example: jumps in the warm-up area, ribbons, prizes); p Provide an alcohol-based solution to team members if they don’t have access to a hand-washing station close by. 5 1 See poster at the end of the document
Site Layout Installations p Provide a delimitation (fence, mark on the ground or other) for each of the areas; p Install hand-washing stations at key locations and for each areas; p Plan movement in bottlenecks to avoid spontaneous gatherings. Signage and Indication p Install posters detailing the hygiene measures, respiratory etiquette, and physical distancing at key locations; p Put up signage to facilitate compliance with the 2m physical distancing measures in places that act as bottle- necks (reception, toilets, warm-up and competition areas, etc.). Communication p Inform participants of the sanitary measures, instructions and schedules that they must respect by communi- cating personally with them electronically at least 5 days before the event; p Inform participants that they will need to bring their own equipment (including cleaning equipment) and bags for their waste; p Inform participants not to take their dog to the site or to keep it on a leash. 6
Program p Favor electronic registrations; p Avoid manipulating paper, money or forms; p Minimize contacts between people; p Avoid sharing material or handing prize (ribbons, prices). Access to the site and the different areas Participants and accompanying persons p Place a person at the entrance at all times whose role will be to limit access if necessary and to verify that people who access the site do not have symptoms by asking them questions and observing them. This person could be responsible for vaccine passport verification.; p Provide a protocol for when a person’s access is denied; p Provide one attendant for every 125 people responsible for access to each area who must ensure that the limit of people determined by the organizer is respected in all time. 7
COVID-19 Symptoms Symptoms are the same as those of the flu or colds and include a rise in temperature. Materiel p Have a first aid kit that includes protective equipment (gloves, masks and eye protection or visors, gown, resealable bags and alcohol-based solution 60% - 70%); p Provide team members with the necessary personal protective equipment in sufficiant quantities. Isolation p Identify a space to isolate a person that develops symptoms; p Appoint and train one or more members of the team to accompany a person presenting with symptoms until they leave the site; p Know and display the Info Coronavirus phone number, 1 877 644-4545. 8
